It barely turns over and backfires a lot and has no power going down the road

Trying to get this bike on the road again starts up great I the gArage but has no power on the road and won’t run after it gets up to temperature...
Broke down on my vfr today just bought the neglected bike trying to bring it back to life but after bike got up to temp It would not run left it...
runs great when cold when Motor cools off runs great startsup revs up to 1200 but no power run after it gets up to 170 temp
Will valve clearances cause a no start after bike is up to temp and cause loss of power. Bike runs like crap .. no balls
Need help with my vfr starts up fine won’t run after it gets has brand new battery and new plugs.. thinking might have burnt valve
