Cool. I love my Viffer too. But I tell ya, after I've been riding my buddy's 1098R a couple times now, I sure wish my Viffer had 20-30 more horses, hehe. And maybe a suspension upgrade or two. I don't ever plan on selling it, so I figure it's got some front fork springs, an Ohlins rear shock, and a Scotts steering damper in its future. I can't believe what Honda has done to the new '10 VFR. People will talk about the 6th gens like mine with reverance after this new ugly pig hits the streets, haha.

I went to respond to your PM and accidently deleted it,, not enough coffee yet.
Thanks for the reply,, I just wanted to say that my 99 VFR will turn plenty willingly while
countersteering into a corner @ 100mph. With a set of new Dunlop Qualifiers it takes much less countersteering to get the job done.

The amount of countersteering is variable between the two bikes. The Buel 1125 has a
fork angle of 21* (degrees) and the VFR is over 25*,, most of the Duc's are in the VFR neighborhood but they can adjust to below 25*. This degree angle does have an effect
on the amount of input from the bars. The Buell requires you to get in a "tuck", forward on the seat , gut on the "fake" gas tank , head low and forarms close to level. At this point the bars go into a neutral feel,, just a knee slightly out and a head move in the direction you want to go and the bike responds easily. The turn-in is built into this bike's
geometry and its a highly desirerable feature,, I use it alot to snug up the turn. The VFR doesn't do this naturally, you have to give the "outside bar" a push to get it to "turn-in".

Thats it! Thats all I was trying to describe in my "countersteering" topic. There was no love or hate for one bike over the other,, in fact, I like the VFR better. That bike gives me much more smiles than the Buell,, I don't call it "Sweetie" for nothing,, its a near flawless machine in my book.
