go to the thread "need help "by tgross. There are pics.

then go to daugherty motorsports and click on tips. he has a conversion fo rthe petcock that eliminates the vaccum hose and uses gravity feed for the '86. makes sense.

ok i will try tonight or 2morrow...i have an 85 and 86 two different carbs. the 85 came with the carb attached 86 had no carb purchased separately with dangling hoses not sure where they go or if i have all hoses needed...my tank hose was cut just after the pet cock. looking at the 85 its straight forward tank to pump to the left side carb nipple. 86 dosent have a side nipple or pump for that matter, plus i didnt take the carb off myself wich is usually how im able to reassemble!!

      Genoracinx,
I think these guys are right. If you have a good camera please take the pics they are looking for. I could not get a shot since my el cheapo camera would not pick up the 90 degree hose so far down with the carb unit mounted on the bike.
The tank hose seems pretty straightforward and there is a vacum hose that goes to the pet cock shown in the manual. They are different sizes and easy to figure out.
The "officia"l Honda manual reprint I have is pretty murky in remembering the '84 '85 vs '86 differences....especially in the fuel hose routing without a fuel pump. So hence my call for help.
maybe someone out thre can ref a Clymer or Haynes manual with a pic or diagram?
