the "New" Spirit Lake
This shot is just north of the Crater. What you see replaced the Old Spirt Lake and a lush green forest with 100 foot fir trees. It is now covered in a couple hundred feet of mud and ash. In person it looks like a desert with a beautiful blue lake full of fallen trees.
