latest project

This is an '85 craigslist special, i had seen one at a classic bike show back in March and got the itch to pick up an older VFR. i had an 87 VFR 700F2 i bought new in November 1987, and really loved that bike, but at the time i bought it because i couldn't afford the VF1000R, or the insurance. second owner listed this for $1000, it hadnt been on the road in 8 years, 9,990 miles recent Metzler tires, idled but wouldnt take throttle, and the clutch master cylinder needed rebuild. I couldnt hand him the money fast enough. i already have over 200 miles on it after cleaning it up, puting in a new battery, rebuilding / jetting the carbs, K&N aircleaner, removed the airbox snorkles, rebuilt clutch master cyl. I also added LED turnsignals as the OEM stalks were all floppy, and fit it with an '86 headlight. this winter it will get the fairings repaired, i'm too busy enjoying it right now.
