Seriously a non serviceable rear shock! I have just discovered the woe of the VF700F rear shock. I found a great post by Ratman on Adventure Rider showing how to totally rebuild the shock. If I rebuild the shock the rotten bottom out bumper will just continue to clog the valves in the shock. The shock requires special tools and hard to get seals. I am leaning more towards the route Jamie Daugherty has offered which is a modern conversion of a newer shock to fit my bike. Uggghhhhh! The good news is this is the last real issue with the bike.
