I could be wrong, and if I am Im sorry, but I think your saddle bags are on backward. My endurance bags look similar, and they go on the other direction... i think its so they follow the lines of your muffler.

You are absolutely right. I found them riding too forward in the normal position and the ties under the seat gave me some grief. I preferred this angle...flaring out to the back.
