Another VFR

Bought yet another VFR, can't seem to NOT find them. The pieces of this 99' are here in SD CA, the other is my 98' in up-country Kula Maui (wish I was there) And also want to share a K&N Filter cleaning "tip". 1st steal the wife's "Shout" and saturate the dirty filter front and back and leave in the sun for 5 minutes. 2nd pull the hose into the driveway with a nozzel on it and turn the hose on to get water in the hose, now let THAT sit in the sun until it gets McDonald's hot, then grab your filter and spray the piss out of it from the back to the front. Let dry and re-oil until you see NO light pink filter cotton. SO cheap and easy...

      Interesting. How many times have you done that? How old is your filter.

      Use Shout ALL the time. Filter is pretty old yet is still very pliable. Chemically "Shout" is much less "harsh" on the filter media since it is "cotton" and meant for delicate cotton clothes. Plus the Shout binds and stays put on the gack on the filter, unlike actual K&N cleaner that works well, but gets EVERYWHERE since it's so thin of a liquid. Sooo... there ya go.
