Was to great a day to pass up, but got off to a way later start, so had to make some changes, Sorry Shorty, next time.

Made it down to one of the great roads only to find it's being logged off so logging trucks all over the place leaving one hell of a mess, so it really wasn't all that great. Here's a shot of one of the 111 twists in the 11 mile road.

Oregon has some great roads, here's just another one.

This one place just out side of Seaside was doing helicopter rides, sweet, if only there would have been more time.

Oh, I did say Oregon coast didn't I, well there it is, way out there.

Just a click over 300 miles for the day, talk about a great romp, can't wait for more of this.

Sounds like a great ride... too bad the logging is so busy right now.

Maybe next time you'll be able to make time for lil Shorty!

Hey, I grew up about 5-10 minutes from where I think you took the second and third pics! They're on the back road from Seaside along Young's River, right? I can't recognize the top pic because of the recent logging.

You could have stopped in to see my 92 year-old mother and her cousin. They still live out there. What a great place to grow up!

LOL, Hey man Helicopter's are way cool.. I've been down that way a few times over the years and have to say this last winter storms really made a mess of things, where it was once huge on going forests, Seemed like all are being logged off, either clean up from the storm from blow overs or general logging, must be something to do with that TV show Axe men? it's filmed in the area. Was crazy to see it like it was. then these thing kept popping up right in the middle of a good corner,

Thing is that heavy logging equipment is taking it's toll on the roads, won't be the same. Those photos where taken on the Lewis & Clark Rd. there on the back side between Astoria and Seaside, Nice run.

I actually am addicted to riding the rotors(helo).
One of my favorite rides is a road used to get to logging areas. Long, twisty, with a couple straight aways that allow triple digits, very little traffic except for the logging trucks. It is fairly open so you can see them aways off if you pay attention(good idea at 100mph). It is one of those roads that you love to ride but know you need to be super careful on.
