Now that the economic stimulus payment checks are being sent what would be a good choice for a $600 purchase. Being the owner of an 07 RWB I would appreciate any ideas. The logic of these checks is that they need to be spent to generate the stimulus.

For just under $600 bucks I picked up a new Sargent seat and Garmin GPS unit and wonder now how I ever got by without them in the first place.

...or go with k9s idea, hard to go wrong there.

Those are two items I was considering. The gps unit would entail a little more work. My clothing is pretty complete. My son who has a CBR1000 thinks I should change the exhaust system to clean up the back end.

Sargent seat is $320 FROM SANDHILLS POWER SPORTS. Then you can get other lilttle diddies. I personally have a few face shields extra gloves or a jacket or two or maybe a nice pair of boots. Oooh a leather jacket from foxcreekleather. They are here in VA and make nive leather jackets and gloves. Non armour but heavy quality american leather. I might have to get me one of them.

Got the seat through a VFRD group buy for $300 shipped (Sandhill Powesports). Got the GPS here: http://www.megagps.com/. I went w/the Garmin 60CSX due to its versatility (goes from my truck, to street bike, to dirt bike, and to my pocket for hikes). Paid $249 for a refurbished model.

GREAT IDEA!!! I decided to get totally out of debt (except for a small mortgage on my house) 3 years ago. With a ton of work and eating beans and rice, it took 23 months. I've never felt so alive since I paid off the last one over a year ago. I get to keep MY money now and not have to send it to some banker to pay on a bunch of junk that I didn't even need. So, my "George Money" will go to buy an old Jeep from my sister. It's an inline 6 cyl, so should save on gas compaired to my Dodge Ram Truck when I can't ride a bike.
