Long story short: I traded my 05 decked out Busa for an 06 VFR in show room condition, Bought Givi (V35 system) and was worried I would miss the power of the busa. Not A STINKING Chance Brothers. The VFR rocks, I have owned a lot of motorcycle including an R1, R6, KZ1000, and more. Not taking anything from those bikes but the VFR just really pleases me. It did everything I asked to do. We (total of 5 of us) left from Albany Oregon on Friday morning took a route over the Santiam thru John Day to Baker City. Saturday: Hit Hells Canyon, back roads to Ukia and off to Fossil. Sunday Shaniko, Prineville, Brownsville and back to albany.

Great Ride, awsome Bike. Ready to do it again. Using the V-tec in the twisties is a thrill not a nuicance and its jus another aspect to master.

I thought about changeing pipes before I left but decided not to now, Im enjoying the stealth mode. Don't miss the Busa....

These were $620 to my door brackets and all. Great deal and service. These bags have a cover on the top tha unscrews and can be painted to match your bike. You can get matching paint in a spray can for about $30.
As far as your Busa friend goes. When he grows up he will get a bike that is more managable and fun to ride. I loved my Busa, but not as fun of a bike as the VFR.

OH Yeah the link for the bags.

I hear ya brother, I came from an '08 Concours 14 and thought I would miss the power. Turns out I love the agility and comfort much more than over all power and frankly the VFR packs plenty where it counts.

In the case of the VFR less is more, it really is a well balanced Sports bike that has power enough to be used to good effect in the real world and still good to do distance's on with style....

When its time for a freshen get some aftermarket cans eg Staintunes to allow those glorious pent up V4 Sounds out, you wont regret it.
