On the flight home from Hill AFB, UT, we had a very low brow debate on the acceptability of certain things. As a result of the debate, I move to have the following made "Man Law".

    1) Once a male reaches driver's license age, unless you are homosexual, a male is not to ride on the back of a motorcycle under any circumstances.

A motion was made to enter the following exception to the aforementioned "Man Law":

    A) If a male has been involved in a motorcycle crash & his ride is now a mangled pile of scrap, it is permissable for this male to ride on the back of a motorcycle only far enough to enter cell phone reception or arrive to an area where it is easier to obtain medical treatment.

I move this exception be struck down since the individual with the operable motorcycle could probably ride to the cell phone reception area faster without an injured person on the back.

What is the group's ruling on this proposed "Man Law"?

Feel free to enter you own "Man Laws".

I think another good law is "Unless it is a race bike/car, with the gear and capabilities of a race bike/car, dont cover it with race stickers, that is just silly."

    werd.

My only question is if you're the injured one how do you denote that you're only riding for help? You never know, someone may see you and accuse you of breaking the man law. I know, how about this... if you just got into a crash NEVER wrap your arms around the driver and only hold on to the passenger bars. If there are no passenger bars at least grab onto the sides.

Once you start wrapping arms you might as well do the ol' reach around because you're getting into gay territory!!! ha ha !

agreed-way too much closeness of junks to ride be-atch if you are not one.

proposed law-defending one's honor over a chic is stupid. If she wants to run around and some other man law breakin dude wants to run around with her...let them. wash your hands and walk away-let him carry her baggage from now on. don't ruin your life by gettin crazy-it only ends in tears. Tears are not manly.

    Then it is agreed.

But what about riding on the back of a bike at a Riding/Racing School, like the pictures we saw here (and in a bike mag) recently? This way the instructor can show you a point more clearly.

And NeverlosT, I feel the Law should be: No stickers unless you are being paid by the company, you are a sponsored rider, or are a major owner/stockholder, etc.

Not to throw a wrench in things, but I've ridden two up a few times. If you gotta get somewhere, you gotta get somewhere. Two weekends ago, had a 30 minute ride to the bike shop to pickup the Blackbird for the day's ride. It just wasn't very practical to have someone drop me off, drive 30 minutes back to drop off the vehicle, then ride back by the bikeshop again...

The europeans find it perfectly acceptable, like these guys I spotted at the Meteor Crater in Arizona while on my trip... They were VERY comfortable touring around on their rented harley.

    Well maybe an adendum.

If his bike breaks down he is injured, your out of cell phone range AND
there are nazi ninja's with lazer beams for eyes controled by rat overlords parshooting in and he is the key to saving the world.....
even then it's a bit of a grey area.

    Honestly done it twice.
ona friends bike was my first time on a bike

and doubled some one to pick up there bike as i was not riding there and back...

That's funny, this past Sunday I was riding through a particularly liberal part of the city and came up beside two twenty-five or thirty year olds sharing one scooter. I had to laugh as it was too funny.

I think if an injured man has to ride on the back of a motorcycle for medical help, cell phone, etc. then it should be admissable only if he is carrying a portion of his wrecked bike that if anyone were to see it - they would exclaim, "now that is a man"!

...I just watched "Full Metal Jacket" last night again and I think of the Drill Sgt hammering the new recruit and suggesting he was gay and that he "wouldn't even give the common courtesy of a reach around." I thought of that line after seeing the two chaps on the Harley...

But you know, in Europe everything is differrent...

Danimal-there are at least 2 male nurses who ride motorcycles just on this site. Just something to keep in mind if you(God forbid) come to visit us at work. Nothing more manly than scraping blood and guts off the highway and then flying 120mph to a trauma center to put him back together again.

We are both married to women and have fathered children.

Hmm, now things are getting interesting. Is there a such thing as carrying a girly item like the side mirrors? Or maybe you can just play it safe and either lug around the exhaust pipe or the back tire. The fairings just seems a little gay for me...
