I'm an x-harley rider and I love the torque a hog gets, is there anything I can add to my 2003 VFR to boost the torque?

Yes there is....take the VFR stickers and put them on a XX Blackbird....

Probably would need a 1000 for some serious torque.

You could drop a tooth on the front or go up a couple in the rear. Doesn't really add torque but it'll feel like it has more grunt.

You could think about how quickly the torque turns to speed on this bike (opposed to noise).

-1 on the front and +3 on the back will allow you to eat all the stock 600s and 750s out there in a 1/8. BTW, most Hogs too ; )

Is this for real? Or is it just a "trolling" comment? EDIT: I just checked it out...I guess it's for real...? That's cool kinda makes sense though. I just never really thought about it though. I'm wondering why we need more torque on a bike? They seem like they accelerate plenty well already. Would it help for when there is more weight on the bike?

I don't consider myself a sreet stunter by any means. (dirt is different).
Torque can be used for low speed wheelies, quick off the line, etc.
Top speed in a shorter amount of time... blah, blah, blah :blah:
IMO both torque and top end are fun. Different applications for different applications.
    When racing off road::biggrin:
    Torque for MotoX
    Top end for desert
Somewhere inbetween (stock) for Grand Prixs

Why Not install an IID? You have heard of the Infinite Improbability Drive right? The Infinite Improbability Drive is a wonderful new method of crossing interstellar distances in a few seconds; without all that tedious mucking about in hyperspace. As the Improbability Drive reaches infinite improbability, it passes through every conceivable point in every conceivable universe almost simultaneously. In other words, you're never sure where you'll end up or even what species you'll be when you get there. It's therefore important to dress accordingly. The Infinite Improbability Drive was invented following research into "finite" improbability which was often used to break the ice at parties by making all the molecules in the hostess' undergarments leap one foot simultaneously to the left in accordance with the theory of indeterminacy. Many respectable physicists said they weren't going to stand for that sort of thing, partly because it was a debasement of science, but mostly because they didn't get invited to those sort of parties. This guy did it:

I found it on another forum the guy uses it to open his garage door...

A stock VFR will eat most hogs EASILY. My 89 Hawk GT with a paltry 42HP can keep up with most of them.

    HD's have always been & will always be over-weight, over-priced, over-hyped... JUNK...

Are you for real? The torque specs are about the same for both bikes, stock that is, right around 60lbs. You want more, get a Buell.

My First instict was to say: Just because it sounds louder does not mean it pulls harder.... Meh I dunno... Plenty of tourque for me...

Then again... My drafting instructer used to say the definition of torque is: The hieght at which your heels lift off the floor when you push down on your morning wood while taking your morning pee...
