I think if I get a second bike it'll be something like this:

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/mcy/651061027.html

It's almost 10 yrs old, but parts are still pretty easy to get for this one, and it's already set up for the track... I'm not that interested in being able to power wheelie, but I want to learn how to ride...

    Jesus!

Apparently all you guys are in a totally different tax bracket than me... If I'm getting a second Bike I was thinking about a Victory.. Vicotry 8-ball to cruise with a few of my Harley Friends. this way my bike will never break down like the harley does.. LOL And it's something that is not made in Europe...Not that Europe is bad mind you...

But then again I also would like a "real" sport bike... Not a hybrid... So in that case, I would go european.. But not from itally! Bah! Everyone knows that all culture wishes they were British! Therefore I want a Triumph Daytona! The best Sport Bike ever made handsdown!

That my freinds is pure zeal and sex appeal!

But my dream has been shattered I just checked my wallet and found a dollar... And my Bank account? well, Let's just say.... Oy.......

    You said --

"Needs to be a daily urban assault do everything machine, even more so than my beloved VFR."

That kinda disqualifies the SBKs, right. If I were in your situation I would consider a Suzuki 450 motard (cheap fun!), a Duc Hypermotard (expensive fun!), a KTM 690 Duke (Teutonic fun!), that Aprilia Ultra (looks great and a wonderful engine!), or a Triumph Street Triple (Limey cool!). However, I haven't actually ridden any of these. :-(

ive just come off a motard, and bought one for the very reasons you mention.
I love em, they look cool and are light and easy to handle and depending on cc's power to wieght is normally good. probably the achilles heel for me was always the seat. I'll be buggered if mine wasnt a lank of wood covered in vinyl! after about 20 minutes my ass would be twitchin. so, whilst you do have the luxury to stand on the pegs ( great fun too) to relieve the pain,
at 60 mph its a challenge to maintain unless you have forearms like arnie.
so my advice get a good duration test ride to make sure your happy with accomodations......then buy a ZRX 1200!

to each his own, brother. Its the performance I am after mostly, but I also happen to like the aggressive, naked style of it.

Nice, but heavy for a Motard.

Italians get to purchase factory made Honda XR650R SuperMoto new street legal, & with a electric start  .

Just wish the "F" we could get stuff like that hear

Oh & that Beemer has as about as much sex appeal as a coffee enema

Have you seen one in person, there the opposite of the Honda CBR1000RR as in the Honda's case they look better in person, & the Beemer just gets uglier :puke:

Probably the only bike I could see myself riding brand new off the lot (and actually being able to afford it). I'd get a new VFR, but that's out of the price range. I absolutely love the ergos of the FZ6, the undertail exhaust cleans the look up real nice IMO. It offers the best bang for buck for all intents and purposes of my riding.

If I didn't get fired from the dealership I worked at today (long story), I'd have been able to get one within the next couple months. But alas, that bridge is burned.

yeah, I have a couple friend who ride the FZ6. They both like it but are looking for something a tad bigger as they mostly commute but want something that is comfortable for longer for weekends when we all go ride. One of them is eyeing the VFR. The other will probably get a full-on sportbike, but I hope he waits at least a couple more years as he is brand new to riding. Oh, and what kind of tease are the last sentences you typed!

As for the FZ6. I'm a tiny guy, my 500 satisfies me in terms of power and ergos. So, I would think an FZ6 is a good way to go, it'll be a phenomenal upgrade compared to my 500 anyway. I just want something modern with greater parts availability. I can't really see utilizing the full power of a liter FZ1, plus the exhaust on the liter ruins the bike's lines IMO. The FZ6 is pretty much a sport-touring R6, just not tuned to the same degree.

No tease, it's just a stupid long story. ha! Essentially, I lost my department managers shop keys, one of the upper admins gave him grief about it. That admin is the company douche, my department manager didn't care too much, but I'm gone on the upper admin's account.
