I saw something Sunday that you rarely see from a BMW rider. This guy (Squid) was on a BMW with shorts, short sleeve shirt, and flip flops, no helmet. On top of that he was driving like a mad man.

I think "turn" would be the important part. Those gentle leans 'll get ya every time.

Good point Sam, slow steering input with some target fixation!

Still, based upon what I could see, not a particularly challenging turn.

First, how does one just lose control of the clutch?
Second, what the hell is he riding? A streched Ninja 250?
    Third, what a little girl!

the bike hitting the pole makes me ill everytime I hear/see it. It smacks so hard you just know it is bent to the frame. Screw the rider, that's what he gets.
There is a video after that one where a dumbass wearing jeans and a t shirt jumps his bike clear over a foam pit and munches himself and his bike. ass

Today on the way home from the MSF range, I saw a total ragged out POS CBR with two GUYS on it. Both were wearing the $4.82 soup-bowl-with-a-chinstrap helmet, shorts, t shirts & sneakers.

    I wonder what's worse?

    1) The alarming lack of PPE.

    2) The shocking violation of Man Law.

This is still the most asinine thing I've ever seen involving a motorcycle.

I don't know, the guy on the bike is the dumber of the two I think. Both should be honorable mentions for the Darwin Awards.

OMG! That was quite possibly the stupidest thing I have seen this year, well, maybe this month, well okay, this week...alright, today, but still that hurt to watch. it sure took him a while to realize he better jump the hell off that thing... One would think after hitting the ramp, you'd know, "It ain't gonna happen!"

Have you seent he dirtbike one where it says no right turns or something and the guy tries a stunt to the right and misses the pit? I would say what happens, but I don't want to blow the surprise....
    http://video.google.com/videosearch?um=1&hl=en&q=foam pit crash dirtbike&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=iv

had to come back and edit this to throw in this all-encompassing tribute to the squid link with video and music... the lyrics seem appropriate... a lot of these we have seen, but this video brings them together nicely...

KC-10, keep an eye out for the protective gear of the tankstand stunter towards the end... classic!

Holly F%&k man. Some people at work think I am insane for riding to and from work in below freezing temperatures. A couple of them ride dirt devils. From time to time I get caught in unexpected snow so I have to nurse the bike into the shop and usually spend the night in a hotel. But after seeing some of these squid vids, I am convinced I am one of the most sane people out there. And quite frankly, that is a scary thought. Airplanes fly, Helicopters fly, even pieces of paper on a long string fly. Bikes have two tires intended to stay on the ground. The only time two wheels were supposed to leave the ground was when the Wright Bothers intended them to.

My rant of the day. I feel for the bikes though!
