i figure it must be at least 43 million MPHs! :p least thats what it feels like.

The Vtec bikes have a big sting of power too. My bike is modded a tiny bit, but if I ever want to lift the front wheel in first, I just get to 5 or 6 K in 1st or 2nd, then roll off and then hard back on, and whoop, there she is, up in the air. It is fun sometimes cause there might be a little white angel on my right shoulder but on the left there is a slippery-squirmy-squid. Sorry!

I am glad you are enjoying the power of your bike safely and with respect! Keep those Bee's out of the brain-bucket!

Your daughter is about my size, I am sure she could ride a VFR ok. She is even taller than me! What I did is took all of the foam off the seat for the driver area, and replaced it with some really cushy foam that is about 1" thick and squishes down more when you sit on it. Lowers the seat enough for me to touch fine, and I am 5'2 on a good day. I am also really strong, so if the bike starts to lean a little when I am at a stop it isn't a problem - I could see that being an issue.

Thats too bad about your son! Chicks dig guys on motorcycles.

That's awesome your daughter does all that stuff! Life is about 100000000x better when you are not afraid of everything. If I were you and she came home on the back of some 19 year old's bike, I'd be pretty steamed if I didn't know the guy myself.

I did feel soooo fast, which makes me laugh because I know compared to other things it isn't all that fast. The only reason I'd even want to tell my parents, is I think they'd feel better knowing how I react to things. Of course they say "We don't worry about you, it is all the other drivers". I know that is true to a certain extent, but not 100%. Plus, it would just give them another reason to brag about their bad ass daughter.

Now that sounds a bit more hairy... definitely going to try to not go there for a while.

LOL entertaining reading, keep up the good work. I myself don't stick around second gear much, that and I have a different generation so I'm sure the gear ratio is different. As noted 115mph @ 8000rpms in 6th and things are just starting to get interesting.

Sorry it took so long for an actual answer to the origanal question on a 2nd gen 700(86-87, in the states any way) w/ my altered final drive of 3.00:1 in second gear @ 8000 rpm speed was 58 mph. so w/ the stock configuration of 2.81:1 you where probably going 59-61mph:vtr2:
