Pilot Powers. Just put them on last month. I got 6000+ out of the original tires, but won't use them again. The front cupped something serious and the rear flattened out like a 60 year old secretary. Just rode 2 hours today of combo twisty, frakout speed, city crawl. Tires did everything I asked them to without complaining.

Dude, the D204K is so far beyond piss poor, I wouldn't put them on a riding lawnmower. Get rid of them, now. Get the Continental Road Attacks. You'll run out of riding talent before the tire runs out of grip.

I would also like an explanation of why the rear brake has anything to do with tire wear.

    D204Ks

    Tanker-dude.
No way, those 204s are working great on my mower...

I put Conti Street Attacks on my 6G a week or so after the post you quote and put 5k on them, including 1700mi at SBWN - http://www.soundrider.com/sbnw/ - before I wintered up. This is my first VFR and they Contis definitely took a lot of the squirrel out of the peg grinding. I'll be on Conti's from now on.

Are the Street Attack & Road Attack the same?

I think I might try the Sport Attack next. The USAF Sport Bike Instructor Course I just completed put the equivalent of 1000 miles on my tires. The actuall mileage was 101.7 over 5 days. I can actually SEE the result of this class.

Sorry, I just went back and saw my post. It was 5500 miles. Damn laptop keybard numbers keep moving. lol. But still good mileage from the Quals. I have on on the rear of my R6S and have probably about 1500 miles on it right now and have plenty left to go. I may try the Conti's next time around as I will probably have to replace both front and rear this time around.

No, I believe the Road Attack has a firmer compound around the center to prevent the flatbanding from slab riding and softer on the side/edges. I think the Street is a bit closer to the gradient in the sport attacks but still with a harder compound in the center strip.

This review was part of my decision process:

There is a link there to the continental website.

You currently based out of CPRoNJ or is that your home of record?

I just purchased the Conti Road Attacks
I cant say enough about them!!! And believe me, I did a lot of research on which tire to go with this time around. Seems the concensus was the Conti

Since late last year, I've put about 4K on them and I'd sware they are still brand new!!!
With that said...I ride aggressively, lean the bike almost to peg scrap situations on the twisties, but also commute 35 clicks each way to work 3-4x a week.

I believe this is probably the best tire for the money without sacrificing either way for track days or sport touring commuter tires.

    Just my op.

Unfortunately, yes. I was born & raised in a small town called Mt Holly & now live in a larger town with less people, Browns Mills. NJ sucks.

    To Bubba:

I to just put a 180 on the rear in Oct. last year.
I LOVE IT. Seems to be a whole new bike.
The response and handling are far more aggressive. Though I probably lost some in the cornering when coming in.
But for street use I'll stick with the 180...lovin' it.

Sorry to hear that. I was raised on a 2000 acre ranch in Southern Oregon near one of the planet's premier steelhead streams where the school taught fly casting as part of phys ed and we got a two day vacation during deer season.

WTF is wrong with the political system in NJ? It makes the ward heelers of the late 19th century look like altar boys. Is there an honest person still in public office in your state?

Ah, never mind. I'll just stay out west where free men still ride free...

...and you can consider those to be rhetorical questions. I know your heart is that of a patriot.

So tell us about Sgt Rey instead.
