LOL! I wish I had the lasting power of this thread.

I tell ya...I'm waiting for people to start discussing the VFR's RR issues next!

Maybe this thread could be the new Anything Goes!

My old 91 is still running strong. I was thinking maybe if I bought up a used Winnebago, painted it up with HD Colors and got me some HD leathers with some fake feather wings, I could go around to the Harley dealers and do a blessing of the Harley's and maybe use the bucks to buy a 2009 VFR.

I do not actually hate harley bikes. It is the owners that I am not fond of. Out here in West Texas most every rider gives a wave or head nod to acknowlege another rider. However I have essentially stopped waving at these harley a-holes. Most will just look at you and keep riding by. The way I see it, we are all in this toghether and nobody should take a holier than thou (or more badass than thou) attitude.

I LOVE to blow past them on the highways with a 25 year old interceptor, that has more technology and personality than their brand new chromed out two wheeled tractors!!! I prefer to go my own way, as opposed to following the masses!

I agree with jon. I ALWAYS wave at passing bikers regardless of what they are riding. More often than not I get ignored by Harley riders. Add to that the fact that there seems to be an unwritten rule in the Navy that once you make chief you have to get a harley. I always laugh when i see that.

I dislike Harley for the attitude it gives it riders. I dispise the image and if I was ever to call a biker, or group of bikers, posers...it would be that group.

Besides Harley is responisble for us getting screwed out of the cool color schemes the rest of the world gets.

Harley riders can't let go of the bars and wave because the vibrations will shake them off the bike!
Saw this one guy the other day on the freeway revving his engine trying to get past a slower car. When the car moved over he gunned the bike to pass and I waited for what seems like a full 3 seconds before his bike started to accelerate. Sure was a lot of noise though...

    not dead yet

I just wanted to add a post to keep this thread alive!

    Long live the harley haters.

I live near a small town (New Hope, PA) where a lot of motorcyclists gather on Sunday mornings to have breakfast outside at many different restaurants. Conversations have to end when an unmuffled slow bike passes. I really hate that.

    Alright, keep it going!

One of the harley dudes on my block is such a cooool bad assed hard core winner that he always wears his black harley shirt and jeans and shades and pissed-off scowl even while riding his lawn tractor!!!
The way he scowls at me when I ride by his place, you'd think he KNEW I was laughing at him behind my helmet!!!
And of course,he has the required big mean ugly dog to bark at my kids.cooooool!!!!

The other one comes home between 12:00 and 1:00am and just has to announce his "bad assedness" by revving the piss out of his stupid loud pipes and rattling my wifes fine china when he rolls home...also coooool!!!

I don't hate Harleys or the people who ride them; I just don't get it.

The best description for a Harley is "An efficient means to convert fossil fuel into noise while creating a minimum amount of that nasty by-product called horsepower."

Care to elaborate what HD products those might be? Would you perhaps have any data to further back those claims? Keep in mind you said "production" bike.

If you're talking about Top Fuel Harley Dragsters, save your argument since the rules are artificially skewed so HD & ONLY HD can compete. That would totally negate the claim to quickest in the world since if you don't allow others to play with you then you're playing with yourself.

With the production bike, I'm drawing a total blank to ANYTHING they make that my 89 Hawk GT can't keep up with. I would really like to know what machine you're referring to.

    KC-10 FE out...
