My wife didn't exactly say I couldn't spend the day riding so you maried guys know what that means. One of my friends rides a GSXR 1K and has been bugging me to go so I called him and said lets get it. We left Albuquerque and rode north into the Jemez Mountains. The ride took us up through Jemez springs to the Valles Caldera Preserve. It was chilly at the top (10k ft) with snow still on the ground. The roads still had some of the red grit they use here for snow melt so our pace was slower than usual. After we left the caldera we motored through Las Alamos and Santa Fe. We took the back way home on SR 14 which leads through Madrid. If you saw the movie Wild Hogs it was filmed in Madrid. After Madrid we hauled butt south to I-40 and slabbed it back to ABQ. All total about a 225 mile trip.

Installed a KN air filter today and took the bike out for a little 150 mile ride. Finally, spring is here! It felt great to be back out. I think everyone else around here was in a good mood also because the Harley guys were even waving back! Great day to ride!

I just posted the pictures in the users gallery and used the picture button to insert them. RVFR's way is prob better because you don't take up space on this web site.

Oh, and for those that don't think the VFR could use a little more power try following a guy on a GSXR 1K who's a lot smaller than you. On the plus side I didn't look like I was in serious need of a chiropractor at the end of the ride

Nice pics! My bike will be on the road in a month....(long winters up here). So I hope you don't mind if I drop by and drool. I can tell I'm getting ready to ride - I'm leaning into the curves in my truck!!! (It's OK until your friends see you do it.......) Enjoy the twisties!

I got to take mine for the first out of town run yesterday. We left Tulsa at 10:30 and headed for AR 23, otherwise known as the pig trail. I was extremely impressed with the VFR. I did not notice the extra weight in the turns, it felt a lot better in the turns than my f4i did, and it left me smiling at the end of the day. I still need to tweak the suspension....but hey, with only 500 miles on it I'm not complaining.

I don't think I agree with the sport touring classification. It seemed all sport bike to me. A 954, a gsxr 750, or an r1 weren't able to out corner me ..... did I mention I was smiling the whole time?

    Some video which isn't mine

    A pic from Yesterday....

and a couple of my rear tire from this morning. I know, not that impressive, but I'm damn impressed.
