    .....Madame President?????

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't you think HILLARY represents the power etite established party machine traditional insiders and their campaign contributer big business financial lobbying interests? IN other words, the same people who got us into this darn mess????? OLD politics.

We need some real change, and Obama seems to represent that. NEW politics. If he later gets caught with his hand up a skirt, so what, as long our economy improves. Obama graduated from Harvard Law School (like JFK) and is well qualified to form coalitions and work with a wide variety of citizen interest groups to improve life for the majority of people, not just the rich corporations.

Do you really want an ethically-chalenged Bill Clinton loose in Washington with no exact job title and enough free time to arrange government deals to benefit his investments with Dubai and elsewhere?? I'd just be waiting for him to be found partying in the back of a Taxi with an underage hooker from Texas, drunk! I've had it with his sexcapades and lying to court. His abuse of a young intern makes him morally unfit for further Washington service because it reveals a deeper corruption.

Just why Bill Clinton granted a presidential pardon to massive financial swindler criminal Mark Rich is a question that still needs to be answered?????

As per usual - I dont like any of the candidates - but I'm not gonna elaborate.

Squirrel - take the politics elsewhere - this is a bike site. Please! Enough!

I'm rather new to this forum, but is this not for VFR enthusiasts? Is she a motorcycle enthusiast and have anything to offer related to that? That's all I care about in this forum. There are thousands of politically oriented forums out there that are appropraite for this type of post, but in my humble opinion, this isn't one of them. If this is now a political forum, I'll just move on to another that covers my area of interest.

Don't run off, Knife. This place will be back to normal in no time. I'll no longer humor the "Rebelrousers" who seem to be trying to hijack our bike forum. We have THE BEST mods here. They will, when the time is right, take the correct steps to get us back on track. In the meantime, just ignore the hijackers.

If you feel you must leave, then that is your choice as a free adult. If this isn't something you prefer to read or talk about, then don't post to it, ignore it. I'm not digging the whole vibe you are laying down. It smells like censorship. I guess the whole world ought to just roll over to suit what you like?

I'm a little disappointed because there are no riders here who care to debate anything more challenging than "Synthetic vs. Conventional" motor oil.

And being called names doesn't really bother me at all.
There are only 2 things i don't want to be called : "Daddy" .....and a Canadian. :yo:

i understand what your saying its just that this debate thing is in the papers and in the news all the time, this place is a little escape from that for me. as far as the politics go it seems to me its kind of a whose the " least of the worst " type vote.
    P.S. Synthetic rules:wink:

I care, but when these threads start they degenerate into name calling and BS rhetoric pretty fast. The real issues end up being lost in the name calling. It seems people have lost the ability to present their opposing views in a civil and intelligent manner...just like in the political arena. Or I should say people can't keep on topic because of emotions. I have my signature for a reason.

I did have a response to your John McCain thread, but by the time I had some ideas to lay down I realized there was no point. I have some ideas for this post...maybe I'll say something later:smile:

In addition, I would rather discuss these things in person since I truely cannot dedicate the time for long posts due to family.

If by starting a controversial thread on a very sensible subject cause some people to call you names, it sure is not good but expected:cool:

If your reaction is to degrade a whole Country, man, you suck!

Fortunately i know for a fact that majority of Americans do not share your view:hippie:

    Ok, a few things.

    1. Anything goes does mean that. If the subject matter is not of interest to you skip it. VFRWorld has always maintained that we prefer to be less regulated than some other places.

    2. We don't condone name calling unless both parties seem to know it is in jest. If you have been around long enough to feel like you know someone and how they will take it, then usually it's no biggie. If you are unsure, reread your post and see if it reads as funny to you.

    3. The reputation light is rarely used here, but as you (the members) flag posts or click on the reputation scale over to the left of a user it can change. It doesn't really change anything other than the color of the light. Again, we do not try to censor much.

    4. As far as Canadians go, most of them I have met are good people and there is one marrying into my family this summer that we will welcome. He is also a rider BTW.

    5. As far as Hillary is concerned, does anyone know her stance on motorcycles and rights? That is something I would be interested to know on any candidate.

    6. This site is for informational purposes and no liabilities to owner, etc etc... It's all in the disclaimer...

:yield: Joking around, not badmouthing our clean, friendly, fun-loving good neighboors from North of 49!!

Canadians need not take offense ; i love the place and do lot of summer riding around the GTA.
A true fact is that i have part-Canadian ancestry since my Grandma was born in Quebec!!

And Red Green, from Possum Lodge, the foremost artist working in duct tape is Canadian too!

Hope to see lots of VFR world members next June 13 at PORT DOVER Ontario EVENT..... website : pd13.com

Smilies :caked: :canada:   would have better indicated that I WAS JOKING !!

A show I enjoy watching but which can easily be argued as what's wrong with our society. Of course, the difference being I know when to take something seriously and when not to (for the most part).
