Hi all, I bought a VFR a month or so ago. It's VFR F according to the description on the frame and is a 1990 model with the single sided swing arm. Looking on here I'm guessing it's a 3rd generation. Am I right?
My second question is are there many models of VFR classed as 3rd generation? Or is it just the F?
    Sorry I'm a little confused.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have the beginning of the 3rd gen senor colin! You are correct sir!

I thought it just went by year to determine what gen it was, not if it has an "f" designation or not. I am not sure of the cut off year from 3rd to 4th gen, but I betcha a five dolla stack 'O flap jacks somebody else knows the shizzle on here.

Thank You Jason. I thought that was the case, but with 1990 being the year of the change, I wasn't really sure.

Yep, you have a 3rd gen. 3rd gen is from 90 - 93 and all years had the "F" designation, as in VFR750F. This was also the first year for the SSSA, which in my opinion sets the machine off from all other Japaneses machines. When I had my 93, people thought is was something other than a Honda at first, and then drooled over the SSSA.

Wish I could! PC problems unfortunately.

But it's white with a blue seat. I've made some alluminium bronze bar ends which set it off really well (IMO). I may make a few other little bits here and there, nothing drastic, just some subtle chages to make it a little different when viewed close.
