It's brewed in Monterrey, so it's definitely readily available in your neighborhood.

I used to pay 90 pesos a bottle at the deli I used to eat at for lunch damn near everyday I was in Guadalajara on business. I really miss my old job sometimes.

this no fruit in the beer is hogwash... I like lemon in my hefeweisen, orange in my blue moon, and lime in my corona diet... and on the day after I have too many beers, I like a little tomato (or spicy v8) juice in my breakfast beer!

    With a meal or a snack it's gotta be Rickard's Red!!!!:tea:
For something to chug on a hot day I like Corona(sans lime) Coors lite,or Bud!
I pretty much enjoy anything but discount beer or anything that comes in a 2 liter plastic bottle.

Oh yeah,I'll chug 'em on cold days too.

Ever notice that just about everything these days is new and improved, better tasting, longer lasting taste, new secrete recipe. Hell even Coke went though this shit with the New Coca Cola a few years back then reverted back to the Classic Coke. What ever happened to the new improved Coke? Don't answer that I really don't care.

Beer on the other hand. You may or may not like the flavour or body what have you of a particular beer. If you don't , you simply don't drink it. If enough people do not drink it, it just goes away. But popular beers just stay like a rock. They don't :censored: with the recipe.

    Pass me an amber! :drink:

:frown: I've looked everywhere here in Dallas with no luck, I can definitely find it in El Paso and Laredo, but of course they are border cities.

Reg... check your avatar for my opinion on your words

I'll drink any of these if they are under the "free beer" heading... well, I'll spit out the veggie beer out after a polite swirl in the pallet....as opposed to the the blood Mary with celery stir stick and Old Bay on the rim of the glass.

Unfiltered Hefeweisen and fruit only work for me in the summer, and then it is just one beer. I've tried, but more than one Samuel Adam's Cherry Wheat seems to make my stomach turn, my taste buds revolt, and manhood shrink...The first one is fine, but then... :vomit:

If and when there is a Nozzle-Q, I'll be certain to stock a variety of 40oz. bottles.

I agree on the cherry wheat. can't handle it. we do have a blueberry wheat that our local microbrew that is within stumbling distance makes that is very good that I can drink two at a time (more than that I have to switch to lighter stuff) but generally I drink their amber which is a really good example of amber. They have a good pale ale also. They haven't done an IPA yet that I know of. Now, the corona just isn't a good beer to me and that's why it needs the lime to give it something extra. more recently I have been drinking a lot of ESB from Redhook because it was on sale for $9 a 12er. That's a good deal right there, I don't care who you are... I guess it's not popular araound here or something so I'll keep buying it up at that price. I have always liked ESB. I keep hearing that AB bought Redhook, but have yet to find any definitive evidence of such...

    1. Rogue Dead Guy Ale - USA
    2. Golden Pheasant - Czech Republic
    3. Pilsner Urquell - Czech Republic
    4. Red Stripe - Jamaica mon
    5. McEwan's Scotch Ale - Scotland
    6. Delirium Nocturnum - Belgium

Occasional Corona and various home brews. Plus the local microbrewery has a lot of good ones, but some are way too hoppy for my taste.

hell while you're at it, grab a Stag! and then wash it down with a good ole PBR... Have you noticed PBR seems to be making a comeback lately?

I'd have to say my favorite cheap beer is miller lite, but if I'm just gonna drink a light beer, they are all pretty much the same so I'll get whichever is on sale.

If I were to hijack the thread and ask what the worst beers are, I wonder what would be on the list? The crappy beers always have the best nicknames/call-signs thoug

    National Bohemian (Natty Bo)
    Milwakee's Best (The Beast)
    Schlitz (Shitz)
<<any name here>> Chocolate Double Bock Lite (ack!)

    Milwakee's Best Light (Mills Be)
    Coor's Light (Silver Bullet / H2O)

I would like to Offer the following "Truism.":

"The Best beer in the world is "Free" and in my hand!"

My answer to the "no fruit question... Fruit in the beer during fermentation (i.e. Magic Hat #9 using Nectarines) is acceptable and very enjoyable...

If you have to put a fruit in your beer in order to make it pallatable than it is not a good beer... (i.e. Corona) Bleck...... In other words if the Beer is not good enough on it's own merrits than it is not a good beer period...

Blue Moon does not need an orange to be "Pallatable" IMHO and a recent visit to TGI Fridays presented a Blue Moon with an Orange in it automaticly... It was promplty sent back as I was not in, nor will I ever wear a skirt.....

So did anyone actually follow any of the links in my initial post? or do they not work?

I am especially proud of the malt liquor links to the videos of old commercials etc. If you are bored....

Can anyone tell me what a "high carbon" diet is?... anyone?

    Oh and for the record:

90 degree and with over 80% humidity, Cans of Budlight in an ice filled cooler that is also half water that has been inside "said cooler" for over an hour = "Nectar of the Gods." Every beer is much like Wine it has it's place and time...

    Also for the record:

Contrary to popular belief Jesus did not turn water into wine... Wine was not introduced into that area until 100 years after his death. The true Hebrew translatioon says that Jesus turned the water into "Strong Drink."

In that "Day and Age" Strong Drink was more of a meade or Barly wine which is much closer to Beer.. Which by the way is the true drink of a carpenter and/or fisherman...

The church in order to attract the "Rich Folk" could never say that Jesus turned the water into a "Comon Folk Drink" that would make the rich folk leave the church thus decreed that the translation was changed to say he had changed it to Wine...

By no means am I a relegious man nor am I trying to even remotely spread the gospel... I'm More of an atheist more than anyhing... But this was an argument I had with a "Born Again Christian" after I was told I was speaking "Blasphemy" against Jesus Christ I called them a snob and told them that I was not in anyway denying the "Miracle" had ocured... Indeed, I was just debaitng what had actually ocurred and pointed out the inconsistancy of many translations of the Bible....

They also became very upset when I asked if the sun was created on the 3rd day how long then were the first 2 days? Because the last ime I checked we had always measured a day by how long it took the sun to rise and set and rise again?
