Ok Euro folks I need a favor... If the pass switch does exist on your Gen 6's can you pls take a pic for me AND... if you could be so kind find me a part number for the assembly. Our part number is 35200-MCW-K01.

    Thank You.

Been looking all over for a Euro parts site to order from but haven't had any luck so far. I'm going to fire off an email to DSS and see what they have to say.

Maybe if others are interested we can have a bunch brought over at once.

Otherwise I'll need to get creative.

    Jason,
Ah, what is the pass switch? Is that like the High-beam light "flasher" switch on the left grip that my boss' KTM 950 has so you can flash the hi-beam headlights when you pass?

Ah! Great little idea that! I always liked it when I rode the 950. Why don't we get them here (USA)? Seems like a perfect idea.

Simple. It's illegal to flash to pass in quite a few states. It will get you pulled over in NJ, that's for sure.

Well, that is wrong! That darn New Jersey! Now I see why you rail against them, KC.
Actually, there are quite a few good reasons to flash the headlights...and I don't mean to tick people off.

Pass switch is a great tool to have on the highways. I bought one from Australia for my CB750F and love it. I would consider getting one for the viffer if anybody comes up with a decent supplier and price. If I remember right I paid $180 for that switch for a 28 year old bike!

Great looking switch assembly. KTM's have them on their US-spec bikes. I still wish we could get them as standard issue here. You can use it for lots of reasons besides passing.

I think its a great feature to have on the controls. Newer bikes in the US are starting to feature these now (I think GSXRs are a model that have it now in the States).

Jasonsmith - If you do find a supplier and price, I might be interested in buying one. I still want to track one down for my TL1000 as well; the Euro model of the TL has the flash button, US model didnt.

DAN thank you so much for the pictures. Amazingly it's the first time I have ever seen one on a VFR. Now I just need to find a part number and supplier.

The CDN GSXR's have them now as well.

I'll let ya all know when I find a source.

That's interesting. Do the bikes in the EU typically have the instruments labeled in English?

Yes,all labels are in english and of course kilometres instead miles, regardless the brand.Looks like we have some extras like pass switch and parking lights but we do not have cat eyes at side of the forks.

Funny thing is, it's not illegal in NJ but you will get pulled over for it. This necessitates a court appearance to correct the issue. To me, it's not worth the headache to do it.

Interesting. Mine came with All the above, including the cat eyes on the front forks. I have seen a few photo's on here, of rear cat eyes on some bikes as well.

I have to report that my "pass" switch appears faulty. The dumb-arse cagers here are immune to this switch and its magical powers... especially when they are crawling along in the "fast" lane:sportbikesmile:

    Help on these please:
    >>>I know about the requirement to have parking lights in Europe--little lights on when parked in town so people don't smash into you on those teeny little streets, right? But are they the turn signals on the VFR there or is there a cute little white light near the headlights like my Z750s had? Or, something else?
    >>>"Cat eyes" huh? What are those...front and rear? When?

    Thanks!

Id be intrested in a group buy for this switch assembly too. I currrently just flip the high beam switch, but i dig the pass switch as a separate switch.
