Iridium spark plugs ???

    i was wondering if anyone uses them or has used them i put them in my bike but i started doing research and i cant make up my mind if it was a bad or good choice what do you guys think???:yield:

    I've used them, but I can honestly say I notice NO significant difference in anything.

    They seem just like OEm spark plugs to me, except I can leave them in for a few more miles.

    well, that sounds good to me as I like to leave out doing as much maint as possible. I am prepping for the track today so I may just swap the plugs for some iridium since I am way overdue anyway. at least I think so as I dont remember the last time I changed plugs...

    I have them and am going to install them when I do the 30,000 miles stuff this winter.

    Maintenance and cost were my motivators too reg. For 2 bucks more a plug I thought sure why not.

    I was told by a dealer's mechanic that they will not do anything to performance, but that they last longer. I decided to go with the standard NGK plugs for my first plug change to save a few bucks, but after now knowing how much of a pain it is to change them, the next set will be iridiums just so I don't have to change them as often.

    well I ended up not getting either as no one had them in stock. well one place had 2 iridiums but that was it. after calling the local honda dealer and them saying theyd call back twice and never doing it, I decided to just say 'to hell with them'. I'm gonna have to run with the old plugs. I plan on changing the oil and stuff when I get back from the track anyway so maybe I'll change the plugs then. It's been a while since I cleaned the air filter anyway so I may as well do that when I get in there...

    Just go into any Autozone or Advance (or any, I suppose) auto parts store and order them. 99 out of 100 times they can have them for you in the morning. Got mine at Advance.

    86 VFR750F DPR9EIX-9 STK# 5545
    94-97 VFR750F CR9EHIX-9 STK# 6216
    98-2001 VFR800FI CR9EHIX-9 STK# 6216
    2002-2005 VFR800FI IMR9B-9H STK# 4888
    NGK only lists Iridium plugs from 2002-on
