Mine is finally running again! WHOO HOO!

Gonna take it out for a little test tonight, hoping the new coolant cycles through all gooda and keeps me running cool, and hoping the 5 month old gas doesn't crap out on me and hoping the new plugs don't get fouled from running a bit rich.....(needless to say, I'm leaving keys to my pickup and the ramp loaded for my wife....just in case....still working the final kinks out). But, I see the end!

how's your first and second gen VFR's doing? What do you have left to do before summer? Have you been riding already? Anyone doing any track days this year?

    WHEE!

First day of spring is tomorrow!

The first day of spring might officially arrive tomorrow but we're still at least two weeks away from anything approaching riding weather from where I sit anyway.

Well, the old '83 has carried me to work 2 days this week (hard rain today). I've been starting it up every now and then, and keep the battery tender on it. She's purring like a kitten....lion's kitten, that is.

+4 degrees C with a least some sun and I'm in the wind. I pick her up from dealer storage on the 29th (rain and wet snow in the forecast) but the next day looks like it'll reach minimums!

google says that's about how warm it will be when I go riding tonight!

I'd bet Ontario is a bit colder than Idaho!

when I got back from my little ride tonight, I was wet, foggy, steaming out the exhaust (hoping it's from running short times and not getting hot....condensation), and my helmet visor was up....because....well....it was caked in snow....yes....couldn't see...because of the snow, but I was riding!

    WHEE!!

It's at home, on its half of the garage, on the center stand, quietly awaiting its first oil change.

If you were out snow riding you're wife for sure must have been otherwise occupied!

Never tried "snow riding" myself, well, not on purpose anyway. Got caught in a bit of wet rain and snow on the way back from a "Friday the 13th/Port Dover" event a couple of years ago. Not fun but I was better off in my full face HJC than most of the guys I was with who were riding with just 3/4 helmets.

-6 C here today with the wind chill but the sun's out so a bit more of this white **** should disappear.

Keep at it man..that bike will reward you for your efforts with plenty of riding once it is 100%

As for mine...it just got unleashed from its dormant position in the driveway for the second ride of the season yesterday. There would have been many more rides had i not needed to change the starter...

Congrats on getting her back up and running. Oops, just read the latest thread about the head gasket.

I finished my winter projects with my 86:

    Paint
    Fork Seals
    Headlight Modulator
    Back Off brake modulator
    New Sargent seat cover
    Renewed Insurance

I'm ready to start getting out and having some fun. In the process of getting my house up for sale, so that is really eating into my time.
