    Hi all.

I just joined the website and wanted to say thanks to all who have been posting here with excellent write ups, how tos, tips, tricks and everything VFR under the sun. It's been a wealth of information and I find myself just reading through all of the various forum threads just for the educational value.

Last spring after only four years of riding, first an '80 suzuki GS750, then an '84 nighthawk (great bike but was rather beat up), I bought my '00 VFR and the rest is blissful history.

I lean more towards sporty behavior on a motorcycle but enjoy the occasional out of state road trip and as we all know already (though I've just begun to see the light) this IS the PERFECT all around bike. I love it.

So, greetings to everyone and thanks all for your hard work.

Welcome! I know what you mean. I read almost all of the threads and comments, and it is an education. What I think is the most enjoyable thing about this site is the attitudes, in general. Even when disagreements come up, they tend to be respectful. Great group of people here!

Being quite new here I want to echo those sentiments. This is an amazing place here...so many answers from people who know what they are talking about.

(And speaking of answers...I NEED ONE. If you have a moment, please look up an old thread I just responded to (Headlight replacement--2003 VFR in the "Mechanics Garage" section). I cannot get the low beam connectors off. If you have an answer, please respond on that thread. THANKS!!!)

I'm sorry you must live in the world capital of "The Orange & Black Cult". Perhaps you could move somewhere?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!!

Yes we here in Milwaukee ARE well known for the great, distinguished Milwaukee's Beast :ahem: I mean Milwaukee's Best... But after a while you start to grow strangely fond of a beer that is cheaper than soda and more common than water. If, of course, your desire to be get sloshed is stronger than your gag reflex :)

The "black and orange cult". Celebrating their 105th anniversary this summer. Literally thousands of Harleys poor into Milwaukee during HarleyFest. Kind of noisy, as in have to wear ear plugs at night noisy. The worst part is not being able to ride your bike again until a good rain washes the oil slick off the road!
