I lost a loved one today, he was like a brother to me. I used to hang with him on the weekends for the past 17 years. I could always count on him being there for me at the end of the week. He loved to play football. He was one tough son of a bitch. Damn, I can't believe he's really gonna be gone. It'll never be the same...... ......there'll never be another Brett Favre.
Hey k9, I have a great idea for you. You can be a Tarvarus Jackson fan!! I am certain he has PLENTY of room in his fan club. Yes I live in MN, but I will be the first to agree, Brett was a great player.
I feel for ya k9, but I feel more sorry for John Madden. That big fella has one serious man-crush on Favre.
I'm sad and happy he's retired. This is a man that gave his body for football and just had one of his better seasons after a gruelling two bad years. And that might just be the reason for the retirement. He just didn't want to end on a down note. I appreciate everything he's done for the game and hope he has a great retirement.
Speed has a 3 year old daughter that was diagnosed with cancer. It doesn't mean that he can't take a joke, but if I was in his shoes I would be less inclined to think something like this is funny... I hate football anyway... just my .02 ~mikeym
Don't turn GREEN because someone made a ha-ha attempt (I was pulled in by it too). I think the post was rather CHEESE-ZEE. But don't PACK it in since we can not keep all silly posts at BAY. A new quarterback is not FARVE away. Real question this retirement begs is if they can still make Milwakee's Best now that Brett's gone? There once was a man from Green Bay, after 17 years was quite gray from the pounding he took, now he'll fish for Chinook. Now go ride your VFR today. (although it is likely to cold in Wisconsin)
ouch noz. that was puntastic. specially like the HIGHlighting for those slower among us. puntil later, eace:
Yep' its cold & most of the state still in a blanket ot the white stuff, Farve retiring kinda sucks but the Pack has been to dependant on him over the years & have not made any real attempts to draft a replacement for him in the past years. I am a passive "PackerBacker" & have been to several games @ Lambeau Field over the years, but can't fault Farve in the least for hanging it up. They at least had a good year, would have been better w/ a Super Bowl win but good none the less. Now on to the decade long rebuilding phase:frown:
