    Something is not right here.
My kit consists of that same bag and 2-piece chain adjuster AND a whole heap of other things (allen keys, screwdriver, feeler guages, + more).
I'll take a photo tonight when I get home.

I wonder if your dealer has "aquired" your tool kit?

Agree. There should be alot more in a 6th gen tool kit, than just 2 pieces.

My '07 "tool kit" is the same scrimpy 2 piece affair that Action and SCraig are also the proud owners of. My auxiliary kit that I carry in addition to the normal tool kit does not fit under the seat, so it resides in the tank bag with chain lube, disposable gloves, flashlight, extra flashlight battery, rags, and other miscellaneous stuff I've forgotten about but always surprises me when I find it.

High on my list of "things to do" is finish assembling a tool kit that should have come with the bike to begin with, i.e. double open-end wrenches, pliers, allen wrenches, rear wheel lug wrench of sorts, multi-tip screwdriver, etc. My auxiliary tools travel from bike-to-bike as more of a supplement than a primary kit, and I just KNOW that Murphy is waiting for me not to have a 10mm open-end wrench...

Oh yeah, registration and insurance stuff, unless I'm on a trip with soft luggage and duffel bag. Then there is a whole lotta stuff beyond the scope of this text.

My kit on my 2005 also has about 15 other tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, allen keys, feeler gauge, etc) other than the chain adjuster spanner and extension you showed in your picture.

Looks like someone pilfered the rest of your toolkit. Did you buy your bike new?

Definately a good idea to have a spare R/R on hand. I commute to work and my bike died on me while going over the 59th St bridge. I was able to get across the bridge and parked in front of an apartment building with a doorman. The doorman was cool with me parking the bike (good thing I carry a cover with me). While at work I checked here and the R/R was mentioned as the possible problem. When I got off from work I checked the bike and it would not start. I took the battery out of the bike and and put it on a battery tender whe I got home. The previous owner gave me a spare R/R he had for the bike. Went back the next morning with the battery and installed the spare R/R and I was good as new. Pays to have a spare R/R .

A PCIII USB, the fuse holder and relay for my AP-2 and my Insurance and DMV paperwork. I spent too much time trying to lose weight off this thing to be stickin' half of the Walmart auto dept. in it. No roadside detailing here.

Yep, brand new. On reflection, maybe they thought I would never notice the lack of tools due to the seriously under-inflated tires they let me ride away on. They figured I'd crash and total the bike...

Naah, just kidding. The little pouch that comes with the 2 pieces is too small to add much to, so it looks like the '07's all came with the same thing. Anybody out there have an '07 with an actual "complete" tool kit?

And be sure to answer Stuka-man's original question, so I won't feel too guilty about semi-hijacking this thread. And I will check to see if you moderate this out, derstuka...

It could be that Honda has figured out that when a sixth gen breaks, it won't be possible to fix it with normal hand tools...

They realized you couldn't fix anything with that crap anyway and the bike weighed enough already...... Put your hands in the air and don't move, this is a hijack!

sounds like i have the same tool kit almost to many tools to fit properly on one side, the otherside only enough room for a couple of small bungie straps no room for manual!..... i guess with under seat exhaust there no area for storage or maybe Honda forgot or cheaped out

Actually they just figured out a way to build them so they don't break. Tools are of no further use! (somebody had to say it! )

Yeah, mine was brand new as well. I asked the service manager about it and he said that the two tools were "Normal" for 2007. I took him at his word, but I'd also be interested to hear if others have gotten a more useful tool kit. I really don't think a full-blown kit would fit under there anywhere.

Stuka, I apologize as well for hijacking your thread somewhat. I hope it can get back on track so everyone please try to answer the initial question to.

OK, ladies and gentlemen. Back from work and have access to the camera.
The full toolkit as it came with the bike. I have added a 5mm allen key, even though one was supplied.
Missing from the photo is the feeler gauge, which was on the other side of the pouch since it was camera shy...

Underseat area, including puncture repair kit and 2x CO2 cylinders, owners manual (with all foreign languages removed to save space!), etc. It does get difficult to close if packed incorrectly...

OK, I kinda broke it, so I'll attempt to fix it...

I was carrying my disc lock under the seat, in addition to my codged-together combo wrenches / allen wrenches. On my last freeway trip, the airflow around the bike and up the top of my thighs caused my Cortech 3/4 jacket to try and lift off my torso (airflow up my lower back). Since there is no easy way to attach it to anything, I thought I would relocate the disc lock from under the seat to the built in fanny-pack in the jacket to see if that would anchor it. So it could be that I could use the newly available underseat space for about 1/2 of a tool kit, once I put one together. Did Barbie ever have a tool kit? That might fit.

OK, derstuka, I have done what I could to contain the damage. I'll probably never do it again, hardly ever.

I've got: 2 small cans of fix-a-flat, 2 bungee nets, tools (adjustable wrench, screw driver (four blade), 10mm open end, spanner wrench, allen key combo wrench, leatherman), 2 10 hr. snap lights, LED flash light, lever grip (locks the brake handle to the grip), plastic foot (for the kick stand, for parking in dirt), zip ties, a 10 dollar bill and some quarters in a zip lock bag. I also have a full set of Givi bags, just in case I need something else LOL.

I'll follow you on my 6th Gen. There's probably room for one extra clip, if I take everything else out.

I still havn't put a tool kit under my seat but the '87 has just enough room to stow a crack head size Red Bull. It's only a little warm by the time I get to work...
