Hello, I've been a member of this forum for over 1 year, I've found the knowledge and experiences shared here to be very helpful! I've visited often in my quest to find a 1st generation Interceptor. My first street bike was a used 1984 Interceptor 750, I wanted the 1000 but correctly determined that it was too much bike given my riding experience (or lack of it) at the time. I often thought of buying another Interceptor some day and after several bikes and 20 years, I started looking for a clean example. I was extremely excited when I found an absolutely mint bike being held by a collector, it has 2100 original documented miles, it has been properly stored and maintained for the last 24 yrs. It's a 1984 VF1000F, here are some pictures of my "new" baby, I hope you enjoy them. I'm looking forward to spring so I can get out on the bike and put some miles on it!
Well Jssus won'tcha please us! That is a very clean and well taken care of bike bud! Welcome to the forum! 24 years old and she still looks new!
Thanks for the much needed laugh! Getting ready for bed over here in Afghan all bleary eyed. I had to read it twice, and then I fell out!
That is one fine specimen of the original, the bike that caused all bike manufactures to take heed and start working towards proucing the bikes we see today. Congrats on such a awesome find.
