Hello all. I've been checking out this site for a while now and I've noticed that people introduce themselves here. Having been on the CL forum and experienced the "personalities" there I saw no need to introduce myself. I've found that this site is much more grown up for lack of a better term and I wish not ot offend or alienate anyone. My name's Mark and I'm happy to have stumbled on your site. I guess I'm just not used to keyboard introductions being a little older than some, but apparently younger than others. It's a fun and budding addiction. Good day to you all.

You will find a wide range of maturity levels to be rivaled only by skill level or maybe riding style...I believe there is a good mix of all of the above. If I see a thread that does not suit me, there are many others here that do. Welcome.

I'm sure we have too. I recognize you. An old boss of mine called me longfellow (6'-6" tall) for years. Apparently that handle was taken so in haste I tried longerfellow. I can't change it now so it what it is.
I make my living playing with maps and plans in the engineering department of a small municipality. Was a Honda tech in the late 80's and the 90's so I sampled many a bike. Im on my second VFR although never owned an FI VFR like most I read about. I think I base my choice largely on familiarity. Thanks for the welcome.

I've been enjoying your Pink Floyd laser light show for some time now!

    Glad you've stuck around.

That was a Tool show in SF last December. I hope you enjoyed half as much as I enjoyed the "stretched gixxer" thread I read the other day. Man that was funny-

Ha, saw Pink Floyd too about 25-30 years ago. There's quite the difference in decibel levels. Now I'm on the other end of that "cool old guys at concerts" conversation.

Speaking of cool old people. The White Stripes show I went to had the most diverse crowd I think I have ever seen and one of the nicest! But that's what you would expect because anyone who loves the Stripes obviously has good taste!

I like them too. I've only seen them on TV,but I like their sound. They're original which is rare in this MTV generation.
