Hi everybody! my name is Askar and I live in Astana, Kazakhstan. riding bike since 2003. currently I own 2002 VFR800. I like it very much, usually riding as much as possible. however now we are in a deep winter with -25C. looking forward for spring and new riding. one thing I like to improve in my bike - some gap in acceleration around 7000 rpm, I heard it is because of VTEC. any ideas how to reduce this gap (ideally remove completely).
Hey there from the states! So how do you manage to get your bike around cars like these: Ha ha ha, just kidding ya! With that acceleration problem you'll want to look at the Power Commander. It's an add-on product that changes the fuel injection mapping and it's supposed to smooth out the acceleration.
thanks Joey, I appreciate that! one problem regarding power commander - we do not have any kind of "dyno-jet" testing equipment for adjusting power commander. anyway will try that. thanks again!
Welcome Askar! I loved your movie "Borat!" Did you play a part in it? Are sportbikes a common sight in Kazakhstan?
You'll have to excuse Joey Askar...ya see, he was raised differently as you can see from the picture.
Welcome Askar! Ooh, that is CHILLY weather! We are looking for 75 F in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday...wish you were here! Good luck with everything!
Hi everybody, thanks a lot for your warm welcome! I'm sure I will enjoy staying in VFRworld. going to make some modifications with the bike before spring comes. later will post pictures of my 2002 VFR800.
