ok, so bubba's thread really got me stirred up about the poor attitude some bikers on some machines tend to have, and in sharing my opinion on harleys, it reminded me what else i love to hate!

punk kids who dont know how to ride, on gixxers or busas who get their bikes dropped and stretched, chrome everywhere (and never bother to polish it) nitrous bottles and led lights, ridiculous paint jobs and whatever "cool" accessory someone else tells them to buy.

now i have ridden a stock gixxer before. and it is a nice bike, but this sub-culture of people who get the exact same bike as all of their friends and get matching gear with their friends and show no originality or independence has made come to hate the gixxer more than any other!!!!!

i find that they also have the elitest attitude, at least here in tampa. they see my old beat up 86 vfr700 and talk a little shit and my response is always "know your roots, this bike dominated the sport before you knew what a bike was" and they continue to talk shit, so now i just fire up the motor and that usually shuts them up, or they say something like "how do you make it sound like that?" so i respond with get a real bike and dont f@#$ it up with stupid mods.

    so my question to you is 2 parted;

    1. does your city have this group of semi-retarted riders who destroy a good bikes ability to turn by dropping/stretching it?

    2. do you hate them?

    1. Yes
    2. Yes

OK, I'll bite. I hate it. In fact, I got out of a business a couple years ago that built bikes like this due to my overall dislike for the style.

Just stay on the back roads where guys who love to ride hang out, not pose. You won't see any stretched bikes there.

To each their own I guess?

I hate those bikes and those stupid nazi helmets they love to wear. there was a guy called busa boy that typified that attitude(at least the look) at cannery row this past year for moto gp.

    Answer to number 1:

Yes, in Delaware we have a bumper crop of these tool bags roaring up and down the main drags (RT. 13, RT 113, & RT 1)

You can usually find these machines and their riders at the Hooters in Newark, DE on Wednesday nights during the summer months of course. Because that's the cool biker hangout for the sportbike crowd. Ride on of the straightest roads, at the highest speeds, to a place that gives you the illusion hot women like you because they take your order for wings! And as an added bonus! Maybe...just maybe, if your bike has the most chrome and the tackiest custom paint job then three hooters girls will sit on your bike and the manager will take a picture and mount the picture on the wall for all your friends to see the following week!

    Oh, the glory!

    Answer to number 2:

My hatered really is similar to the Harley posuers, its equal.
But I'll say this, track day crowds REALLY hate these people! Man, I was just hanging out, talking and having a good chat with more than a few people and when they saw the chrome mags on the 97 the questioning would start. It seemed anything with chrome caught their eye and they were ready for attack. The only thing that vindicated me was they came on the bike when I bought it. After that response they would chill out then explode about all the chromed-stretch bike asses destroying our sport, etc. etc.

Reminded me of the zombies from 28 Days Later! If you want one of these riders to disappear, bring them to a track day!

And I thought I hated Harley posurs!

And I concur with 2-4-1! I NEVER see them on back roads. Only main drags with Looooooggg straights.

I just like to watch. People taking perfectly good bikes and cars and turnin em inta freak machines. I do not want one, or want to hang out with those that do, but I do like to watch. I n the 90's I had an '85 Ranger pick up-stock. It was all the rage to lower everything on wheels at the time. I loved to line up with them and egg them on towards railroad tracks, just to see them stomp on the brakes or throw sparks all over. Hee Hee, fun to watch.

Can I be Secretary Of War? Please! Can I?

DUDE!!! That's the coolest Busa ever. I want a wing just like it for my VFR.

In reality, if you guys ever see me with a wing on my VFR, you have my full permission to kick square in the nuts.

These guys are just as bad as HD pinheads. Problem is, they go much faster so the crash scene is that much messier.

    KC-10 FE out...

If you stretch anything that will never see a dragstrip, you're a poser douchetard (to use my best craigslistese).

Chrome anything doesn't belong on a sportbike. Ever wonder why they come from the factory NOT blinged-out? It's because they attract enough attention (good, bad, or otherwise) already without searing your retinas with the sun's reflection. Leave the chromed shit to the HD goons and wanna-be thugs.

I tell you what is just about as bad as the chrome helmet is the Mohawks I see some young punks wearing while on the back wheel going down the interstate!
Talking about giving the rest of us a bad name.

Derstuka, do you have one of these?

Droppin, Chromin, and Stretchin, are the stuuupidest things you could do to a sport bike, if you actually like to, and know how to ride. It adds weight, increases your wheel base and decreases vital suspension resulting in a compete waste of an otherwise functional and viable form of transportation. AH Hell, I Freakin hate it! BTW I dont see much of them here, Thank the Lord!
