Thought this might spark some fire in the conversation. :pout:

It appears one fix for the 5th gen issues is to burn it and get a great discount on a 6th gen.

(evil laugh  boooooohaahahahahahahahahaha! :first: )

(just funnin' I'm liking the 5th gen headlight)

Nice fishing, but answering as if you're not. I do but the Gen 5's Headlights are as good if not slightly better than the Gen 6's at Low beam and still pretty good at High and much much better than those candle like Gen 4 lights.

Coming in late re improvments do think the Gen 5 could be improved by Gen 6 Forks and Ohlin's rear shock but otherwise it as close to a perfect motorcycle as I want.

The stock exhaust is a joke, and the seat of course.Other than that I love this bike, more than any of the the others I have owned. After I took the vfr billboards off the lower fairings,I get a lot more "what kind of bike is that?" questions.

There's really nothing on the 6th that I like - well it has better forks. You already know about the litany I have bestowed on my 5th. Add 20hp and then my 5th is as perfect as a long haul sport bike as you can get.

I think it had been said in another thread, but the disappointment with the
6th stems from that the 5th was such a jump in performance from the 4th, people espected the 6th to be an even a bigger jump - that dream ride 130hp sport bike long haul viffer. When the 6th was somewhat more of the same but with a more touring character, it leaves the long time viffer fans a little miffed.

    Peace bro,
