Was curious, as it seams a good many feel their precious VFR just might weigh a bit to much, so whats to much? any one ever actually do a weigh in? I did the ole weighed myself with the gear I normally wear then went to the local garbage dump as their scales have top be accurate, then subtracted the diff, so mine with a full tank, less me, weighs in at 505lbs, It is what it is. So what yours?

Honda is afraid to list that number in the 2006 VFR owners manual  ......so I went to the VFRW Wiki and it said 481lbs dry for a 6th Gen. So you add in coolant and oil and brake and clutch fluid and gas and well I'd have to say 540-550? I recently ditched the stock cans and will be ditching the emissions stuff and the stock collector and cat, by adding a Motad. I'm interested to see what it does weigh following that. I planned on taking it down to the United Van Lines certified freight scale and weighing it with a full tank when I was done. I'll post up the info when I do - I just wrote myself a note in case this thread goes to sleep before then. I'll let you know then RVFR, and I won't lie either  , LOL!

I always figured my '96 was around 525 lbs. wet.

RVFR's info undercuts this by 20 lbs.! Sweet!

Mine is heavy as hell, and I love it....it adds to the "feel" of the bike. I hate light bikes, too herky jerky...(see Kawa's)

You know I'm liking you more and more with each post Norcal....it is actually the equivalency to a US Standard Sh*tfull....close but no comparison to the all to familiar "heavier than a son of a bi*ch" weights and measures....lol:caked:

this sob weighs 225#. so I think the sob is a relevant weight more than a standard weight. A sh**load is one decimal point smaller than an a**load due to the fact that the formaer can be subtracted from the latter but not visa versa.

    +1

I did the same (as RVFR) and went to the dump

mine (2004) weighed in at about 800 (my dump scale went in increments of 20)
full tank, saddle bags (loaded), tank bag (loaded), and me (225 + gear)

my roommate pulled on too, 820lbs
he was about 275+gear (also a full tank)

    so,
    I'd estimate about 525 - 550lbs + rider and gear

    I've met your bike nozzle!

She was totally down to earth and comfortable with herself!

She would be offended if you said otherwise:biggrin:

There's that one week each month of tempermental starts and stumbling idle if you know what I mean.

If I only lost "x" lbs, I'd be my ideal weight.... I need to loose these saddlebags, them make me look wide. ... I know you like my large topcase, but does it make me look unbalanced?

    It goes on and on....
