    whoa big fellas,
    1. I ride a 6th Gen
    2. I can think of nothing about my 6th Gen that I don't like that I haven't been able to mod up. I wish aftermarket stuff was more plentiful. I hate seeing some really cool shtuff, only to find that it isn't available for the VFR (2002-2007).
It may be that after driving my 86 vfr for so long That this one is SOOO much better I just can''t complain. Yes, she is heavy but she is nimble and power to spare. I ride with a buddy who has a CBR1000RR and it continually amazes him how I am always right there with him. Sure, I push her and the envelope. She loves it and so do I. I think being aware of what you have and how you use it is the key.
Almost bought an 06 CBR1000RR. Road my buddy's 2005 and felt more comfortable on my 86 VFR. He drove to Tampa on his CBR1000RR and only got to Panama City before he turned back. took him 3 days to recover. I have done 400 miles in a day on mine several times and felt ready to keep going. Me I personally would like to have a 4th and a 5th (yellow 2000, yes I will have one) gen in my stable. But I find when I own more than 1 bike i end up with a favorite and ride that almost all the time. When I ride the others it isn't very far into the ride that I will start to wonder why didn't I take my favorite.

I had no idea the 6th gen's led in ownership numbers. I just figured the sheer number of used bikes would still dominate the ownership numbers.

Where did you get those stats?

This is a sore spot with me too! Especially once you take a new CBR or R6 for a spin and you set the suspension for YOUR weight before you go for a ride. Why its taken the MC manufacturers this long to have a stock suspension that good put on the bikes in the first place...

    Sorry for the hijack!

Only complaints I had, which I fixed immediately, was the uncomfortable seat which moves you towards the tank. My previous bike was a Duc M620, so I was looking for a bike with more weight-for a more stable ride.

Just for the record, RVFR did specify that he wants feedback from 6th Gen OWNERS. I agree with Jason that if you open this thread to everybody, then it will go sideways and be of no value to anybody.

I agree that throttle is a bit touchy down low. I'd love to have it very progressive from the factory. I've heard you can accomplish this by adjusting the "starter valves" in the throttle bodies asymmetrically.

PC - I wasn't trying to single you out. Now if you would just get yourself a 6th Gen, then you could join the fun.

On my 6th gen RWB the stuff I'd change for me is "low" seat since I'm inseam challenged. If it was another half-inch it would be nice?

The bike is heavy, but it is set to carry a mess of gear for a long time... This is a price paid to allow all the cases and 2-up rides. I knew this before I bought it, but I could make an aluminum tail if I cared to save weight and did not have other stuff to do. I knew what I was getting, but I doubt anyone would not want a lighter bike.

The price new at the showroom could come down since all the nonrecurring engineering costs are done, so the bike's price seems high compared to the other offerings from Honda - especially for the accessories and parts. The bike has been the same basic stuff for years. Not quite the Kawasaki Concourse, but it might become the same concept... same bike for a *long* time

It would be nice if the bike came with accessory electric connections ready like the BMW's. The sport folks would not have significant weight gain and the tour folks could add stuff easily.

Everything on the bike has been what I expected. I've yet to ride a 2-5 gen bike, but there's a big improvement since the 1st gen... and I'm not just talking about the diameter of the front rim.

I have edited this post because I have been accused of not playing well with others by Derstuka.

CDN List Price on a 2007 RWB $14,999.00, List price on a 2008 $14,699.00 just in case anyone thinks that the recent economy has changed anything. Freight and pdi extra.

We get hosed up here... Imagine if we tried to do that with a new ride. I only wish.

    ------------------

There, let that be another thing that I don't like. The Dam CDN PRICE TAG!!!!! Honda should be ashamed. Sometimes I wonder why people even live in this country.

    I thought I was agrivated before, now I am really :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :smash: :smash: :smash:

It's all my fault though.. I could have said screw this CDN market and gone south and picked up a bike. Then I would have had to suffer through all the BS that was associated with bringing it back. My only real regret with this bike. :frown: oh the emotions... gonna snap soon.

From the saddle, all I hear is engine... But I've had my buddy ride it around the neighborhood and the exhaust note is amazing. Sounds like a GP bike tearing around.

OMG...... RVFR your a sh$t disturber, i thought we got past all this ....i think its time to get out and ride and get past these winter threads LOL

there will never be a perfect bike, the biggest thing that initially turned me off was the lack of exhaust note, my mower sounds meaner. Honda dose make IMO the quietest bikes and i guess that appeals to most but i like to hear something when i twist the throttle . for me hp is fine for 1up riding if i was doing long trips 2up i would need more cc for sure. the slight snatchy throttle response in town @ low rpm should be better but that problem seems to happen with more than a few FI bikes. for the most part bike is good and with a few mods is......... perfect........
