Check out the pics of my VFR. The tank/knee pads are for an ST1300.

Whatever you do, don't buy the Hondaline tank pad recommended for the VFR. I tried two of them; both came unglued because they are really designed for other Honda sportbikes but do not adapt well to the shape of the sixth-generation VFR tank.

Like Marco, I did install the ST1300 tank and knee pads. Couldn't be happier...

Do you have more information on what year st, a part # or where you found the pads? I like them.

The tank pad is a Honda accessory, the knee pads are OEM parts

The tank pad is a Honda ST1300 factory accessory. I got mine from Honda Direct Line; here's the link: Directline Product Page

The knee pads come standard on the ST1300, so you have to buy those from someone who sell Honda OEM parts. The left and right pads are sold separately. I got mine from Bike Bandit. Here are links to Bike Bandit plus another outfit I've also used:
    2009 Honda ST1300 OEM Parts, 2009 Honda ST1300 OEM Motorcycle Parts - BikeBandit.com
Honda Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki Sea-Doo Can-Am Ski-Doo Motorcycle Parts ATV parts Scooter Parts personal watercraft parts Accessories

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my original post, but heat was my main motivation for adding these. My VFR is red. The combination of engine heat and Florida sun often made the tank so hot that it was unpleasant in spite of protective gear. The ST1300 stuff solved that problem. And looked good too.

Have to agree with the above statement about the OEM VFR tank pad. STAY AWAY FROM IT! I got it as a gift, and felt really guilty when my brother saw my bike and asked about the pad he bought. I had to tell him it didn't stay on properly. Felt like shit.

since this thread has been brought back... i have that tank pad and the fit seems to be really good. the shape seems to be perfecty contoured to the VFR gas tank. i am very happy with mine. for the people who had the pad fall off, maybe the wax wasn't completely removed from the tank before putting the pad on? idk just a thought. it uses 3m style double-sided automotive trim tape around the entire under side of the perimeter. i can't see this coming off unless you want it off.

I just had my new VFR RWB done with the clear film from "Thetankslapper.biz". I think it's the best. Took a couple of pictures but it dosn't show up, which is what I like. He also has kits to do the fairing as well as the rear side covers above the pipes below the seat. I will do all that next month.

Or you can just go to any vinyl graphics business and ask for it by the square foot.
Clear, carbon, colors -anything. Cheaper too. Or order online Make sure to get 3m brand because it does not crack.
