Do any of you fine folks own, or have you owned the AXO RR9 helmet? Motorcycle Superstore has an amazing deal on these babies right now and I was thinking about trying one (as if I didn't have enough helmets already).
I can scoop one up for $103.99 and they normally list for $399.99. That is hard to pass up.[IMG]

I hope at least one of you guys , or gals, has used one of these........

Nope, I haven't used or seen one....it seems that AXO (or 661 they are now called most of the time) has took a dive in quality IMO. I just have used some of their mtn bike gear as of late and not that impressed. Kinda falls apart.

Hey SuperStuka, I can always count on you to have some good input. I think this model has been out for a while and they are just getting rid of old stock, but I'll take your word on this one as I can't seem to find anybody who has or has seen one (other than the 5 guys who reviewed it at MototcycleSuperstore. com). I know I had never seen one. It's too bad about the quality issue with Axo, I have some original AXO motocross boots that I bought in 1985 and they may be beat up a bit and I haven't used them in years, but they are still useable. I keep them for sentimental purposes because I got 'em before a big six race motocross series in AZ in 1985 and did pretty well. They remind me of how good I used to be..................

Then again, as long as it is DOT and SNELL approved, who gives a damn I guess! The rest of it will just be fit, finish, noise, and ventilation.

I only have bought their gloves, mtn bike shoes, and some downhill gear, the shoes and downhill gear was 661, but that is the same company. It is not crap, but just inexpensively convienent I guess you could say, or it just lasts for about what you pay for it....not much in other words. Saying that, I just got another pair of AXO mtn bike riding gloves for a Christmas present.

Probably the same company in China makes the stuff for Fox, AXO, Thor, and so on....haha

I had a gift certifcate from New Enough so I blew it on this just a couple of minutes ago anyway:

I wish I still had some of my ungodly ugly neon gear from the 80's - it would be awesome at costume parties.

BTW, I used to "love" the old AXO gear back in the 80's.....hell, now I am not even sure who the top riders wear. It used to be, AXO, FOX, Thor & O'Neal dominating it primarily as I remember it. I digress, but my brother and I painted his Bell Moto 4 as an RJ mad dog replica with a sticker.

Hey, speaking of HJC....they are releasing a new model with a push down tinted/glare shield ( it's only a half shield) inside of your face shield. You seen that yet? I just saw and ad for it in motorcyclist. let me find it...ok this one.... HJC FS-10

I like this idea....probably not new, but I like it for the glare reduction.
