Laminar lip?

Anyone ever use this? A buddy of mine put one on his BMW and sez it really works great.. I've never heard of it before.

I'm not sure I like the looks of it either. It would probably look better on a
st1300 or bmw type bike.

Do you use that with your 5th gen? DO you have a dbl bbl or stock screen?

 

I have a laminar lip for my 5th gen and it works great on any long rides or tours. We use the Chatterbox communicators and this keeps the wind off my face so my microphone isn't garbled (I also use a quietrider deluxe on my helmet for the same reason). The good thing about it is it is easily installed and removed as it has the dual locks (plastic) velcro tabs. They also sell extra tabs if you worry about them getting worn out installing and removing a lot. It doesn't look that great but you can take it off when you get where you're going.

 

Nope,my 5 th has gone to new owner,I have 6 th at the moment with stock screen.MRA might be my choice.
According to the test in German magazine(Mottorad-one of the best mag. in EU) the MRA vario is the only screen that makes difference or improvement.

 

I have a Laminar lip on my 2002 Vfr.It took 3 time to get it adjusted properly.It makes a big difference.Its also throws the bike around a bit more at high speeds.But a 110 kmto 140 km you dont have as much wind noise.It doesnt look as good as stock,but we are getting chatter box so it should make a difference.
