I lived in Tokyo for awhile, Shin Yokohama actually, and was blown away the first time I saw a Police VFR - I actually took a picture of it and sent it to my buddies state side. They were glad they were using them Japan and not the US, LOL. I did read somewhere that the Texas HP has a couple of 'Busas now

When my brother lived in Texas, the Galveston PD had some Hurricane 600's! Those guys look pretty quick and nimble on the VFRs.

I wonder if they have any problems with overheating.. I know mine runs hot.
They would have to run a bigger alternator to power the extra electronics which would be more load on the engine especially at low rpm. stop and go traffic.

All of these Japanese police bike videos remind me of this video from quite a while back. By the way, can you guess what kind of bike he's riding?

Just shows you how well those bikes handle with a well trained rider on board.

BTW, did they ever make/sell a "white" 5th gen anywhere outside Japan?? That white looks pretty sweet.

I want to do a handle bar conversion on my 5th gen. I found the instructions on VFRD. does anyone know a good bar that isn't quite as high as there on the Japanese police bikes?

Those bars are not only higher, but notably wider. Shows just how nimble a VFR can be...they need the wider bars to get leverage for those maneuvers! I've been in Singapore the last 10 days for work, and it seems they use the same police bike here. I saw one the other day on the freeway.

I thought I was pretty good at this sort of thing. Guess I will have to rethink. I sure as hell am not as good as those guys. A good reason not to run from cops.

No, the police VFRs in Singapore are white, too.
