Personally - unless you are some kind of trust fund baby with lots of disposable income - I'd rather have the 3 nice Gen 2 Interceptors to ride than this bike, for how much they are going for. My ego doesn't need all those "racing" fairings and stuff.

    Different strokes........

My Blue RC 26 with the Yosh pipe......what a sweet ride! :)

    That is 100% original money.

That things is a respray... And a bad one.

    Mind boggling.

Also, my "ego" doesn't need "racing" fairings, but the 16 year old in me sure fucking does. And still does. Such fucking cool bikes.

    "ORIGINAL PAINT SURVIVOR"

    What a fucking joke.

The listing also can't decide what the F it is or what year.

"... one of the finest rider-grade or museum quality VF1000Rs on the market today."

    Oh my God.

Yeah... That's some museum quality restoration work on the repainted crankcase covers....

Your blue is a little off too.

And check out these survivor paint lines. The quality these were known for...

There's that wrong blue again. The reds don't line up either, especially on the right and terrible bleed thru on the masking line. That rear taillight cover might be the only "survivor" on this bike.

My remark had zero to do with the bike being cool or not.

    It IS a cool bike.

What I was trying to convey is FOR THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY my ego is just fine with a more ECONOMICAL Interceptor.

Now if someone has a nice one they would sell me for under $5k........:D

5K is what I paid for my original 86 1000R with 4000 miles when THAT was a lot of money for a 1000R. (Pre Internet / cell phones)

    9K miles now.

So I must have $20K 1000R judging by the BaT and eBay bullshit going on with bad resprays and marginal "restoration" work presented as "100% original survivors".

No. I should have about a $10K bike. And even that sounds weirdly high to me.

What is sad is someone spent big bucks on a lie. I really love the R and if the new owner loves then good for him but it was purchased under false advertisement. I understand buyer beware but you have to know about the item you are buying. For God's sake man, do some homework!

    UNBELIEVABLE
