I totally get the opinions that the asking price is too much for this bike.

I really do.

You may be right.

But when it comes to collectable vintage vehicles.....there are always multiple components to valuations.

There are those who look at a bike for sale like this differently than we do.

All I'm saying is there is plenty of room for a variety of opinions when it comes to valuation.

And despite whatever flaws we are seeing....overall.....this is an extremely nice example and one could argue would be tough to find elsewhere. At least any that are found in a classified.

I know I have paid more for some of my bikes than some would be willing to pay. But how do you place a value on knowing you have a gorgeous example of one of these RC 26's? One that needs nothing upon purchase? Like I said......it's going to be different for everyone.

That said.....I bet if someone offered $7K, the seller would accept that offer. But who knows?

Still in total crack pipe territory. I get it... shoot for the moon. But sometimes you kinda look like an out of touch tool when doing it.

 

Joe has some top notch bike projects! Even has the windscreen warning sticker..WTF! That was the first thing we pulled off of bikes, or at least I did. lol

 

"Opinions" to valuations are one thing. SELLING price is another. Even tho BaT auction sales can seem inflated to me, they are actual sales, which gives you some comps when determining value at a certain time. Not somebody's unrealistic asking price or opinion of it.

Put this bike on BaT and it will def get exactly what it is worth in the first quarter of 2025. It is very nice and would do quite well. Ain't gonna do 9500 good, or even 8500 good. Pretty sure the owner doesn't want to see that reality. At least not yet. I'm sure the barrage of messages he got asking him what color the clouds are in his reality helped facilitate his pretty quick "discount".

 

The asking price has now dropped to $6K........

 

Now $5.5K.........

 

That bike will make it to $3700.
