The colors are way off in here and it's cramped, but it was dark and cold by the time I got it off the lift. Actually way better in person.

Thank you both. I'm pretty enamored. Can't wait to roll out in the sun... and eventually ride it again.

Just a couple doo-dads to finish up. Still have a brake side wheel dust seal to install. Be here at the end of the week. Thought for sure I had one and I probably could have gone out to the Parts Garage and checked another F3 rear wheel for a seal. Thought of that after I installed the rear wheel so I could turn it around and work on the front.

Have I mentioned lately how much I HATE brake fluid? Well, I replaced and bled the calipers the very first thing on the lift with all the old parts on it. No issues. Still HATE brake fluid.

Rear brake line is a little long(er) now. Had planned on the new caliper bracket as it rotates the caliper more forward, but the new caliper has the banjo in front of the bleeder, not below like the original. I happened into a pretty good set-up that I might just keep.

That is a good look for the over length line. Especially in your heat shrinked wrap. I purchased some make your own line from MikesXS specifically to address my overly long rear brake line. OE was too short and the 900 caliper line was too long. Maybe I will make a freshy next month after the 400 is back together.

Your resto mod is lookin real good dude! I am super jelly of your engine covers. Trying to decide a solution for my 400 cases.

I'm on the lookout for a nice aluminum double clamp. One loop to attach to the subframe above the exhaust mount and one loop for the brake line to slide in. It doesn't seem to really need it, but if I find the right one, could be nice. I don't want just a zip tie, I'll go without before that.

Jegs and Summit Racing carry those. I do have a good source in Canada for AN fittings that may them as well.

Rear wheel seal came in and installed. Rear end all buttoned up.

The clutch master was leaking. Super glad I decided to dive in, as I almost didn't. I could never find actual evidence beyond an occasional drip on the floor that I couldn't absolutely attribute to this bike. Never lost clutch system bleed, never has any kind of drip off the master or clutch lever. Amazingly nothing ever dripped on bodywork and panels.

But when I popped the dust boot off, there was a small reservoir of brake fluid behind mixed with silicone grease. The boot was in good enough shape it actually held the brake fluid in most of the time. Luck-eeee.

And here you can see just how much the seal had lost it's shape and ability to totally seal under certain conditions.

Bike will be ready to rock as soon as the weather cooperates.

Slid the left clip-on up the fork and rotated it as far forward/around as I could. Got the banjo at the lowest point. As soon as I started pouring in fluid after the rebuild, it started draining and bubbling. Every now and then I would come by and slap at the clutch lever and a bunch of bubbles kept coming up. I think I cracked the bleeder on the slave a total of 8 times and had new, solid fluid coming out my clear tube into my bleeder waste container.

This is the unit. Large footprint for stability, big enough cap to drill two holes in. In between, or when you're done, stuff the loose end into the empty hole. Everything drains down into the pit of hell where brake fluid belongs.

Time for a new cap soon. It's cracking up because the fucker lives outside... because brake fluid.

Rolled outside for a couple. Still missed some direct sun, and I didn't want to shoot out next to the street.
