There are some things that don't seem right on this bike. I will do a deep dive tomorrow maybe. But the first couple things...

New owner promptly dumps it due to Armor All / detailing juice on the tires.

There is an excessive amount or corrosion on the chassis bits that doesn't align with the paint condition necessarily.

Speaking of paint... the masking around the gas fill opening seems a little un-Honda-like.

It does appear complete tho with the proper hardware for the year (at first glance).

 

100% respray. And I can prove it's been dropped hard enough on both sides to to fuck up the upper cowl.

So many tells on the paint job.

 

Don't mess with inspector C.

 

Maybe I should be a hired gun / consultant for Auction bidders. Might be something there.

 

If my BaT comment, "Re-Spray. 100%" does not get approved, I will re-word it to be more diplomatic. But buyers need to know this is NOT original. Not even close.

Yeah I don't see it as of 2100 1/29.

 

There is something there for bidders. I have been fooled and now I stop bidding unless I am ready to pay for my mistakes.

Other items include:

Rear cowling is broken at both L & R lower mounts above footpegs.
Front headlight surround is painted incorrectly, including the lower hardware.
There is something "off" about the tank Honda Wing decals I think. Can't quite put my finger on it, but since I know the tank has been painted, I'm not surprised I feel this way.

Still an overall complete, fairly nice, example. Lots of corrosion all around tho.
