Continuing to plug away at our Boonie Bike death trap race entry for February. My buddy told me he had a special decal cut up and I would be excited for it. He stopped by today to show me and apply it. Apparently he had come across the 1962 Honda Safety Rules image that I'm sure many of you have seen. It's cracking me up. I don't even care if it's fake--it's hilarious.

    Excellent!!

^^ Love the Honda Safety Rules. Reminds me of the mid-late '90s Stupid Hurts band aid sticker.

He is the boss. He ran his own welding company making railings for corps. He was tired of his own shop, so now he is our foreman and loves to do little bike projects since he used to race for AFM. :)

"Extra" wheel set done for an 86 conversion.

    PXL_20250123_023054382.jpg

TOTAL cost... $18 in paint. A VERY generous kick down from an awesome friend who changed gears on a project. Had to replace the front wheel, as the one he inherited with the project was machined incorrectly. I had this wheel in a parts lot of Hawk parts I bought. It was already white, but I had to give it a paint job due to some blemishes too bad/big for decent local touch up.

For cleaning, I usually use the water-based purple cleaner stuff, like what they sell at Walmart. Last time I bought the 5 gallon jug and then poured it into 1 gallon jugs for easier usage.

On a car forum, someone mentioned using this product to clean a transmission, so I grabbed a 2 pack from Amazon. Wonder if anyone here has tried it?

Nope. I need to make a decision on what is going in my solvent tank that isn't solvent. Please report on it's effectiveness.

I'm also thinking of putting a bucket heater on it too.

    Agree - that's my usual go-to.

Will keep you guys updated. My guess is it will work about the same. Weather right now is not conducive here for any motorcycle work! Maybe next week will be better.....

Spent a couple hours today at my storage unit where I keep some of my bikes. I now have 4 storage units in this location and 1 more at another location.

Currently moving all the bikes from a 10x20 to a 10x30 which will reduce me to just 3 units at this location. The good news is I was able to start and ride 4 of them today. Some needed some more fuel in the tank and almost all needed help with battery power.

Worth a mention, the Motobatt battery I installed in the Euro RC15 did NOT need any extra charging! Shout out to Capt 80's for that recommendation. I will be replacing more with new Motobatts!

Also, a little while back someone asking for help here in starting his bike was told to use battery cables to a vehicle to troubleshoot and that stuck with me so on one of mine that despite showing a fully charged battery was just making a humming noise when the starter button was pushed- started right up today when I attached battery cables. So stoked!!!

Tomorrow I return to move the last 4 bikes. None of them Interceptors....

Nice space! Are you riding them to get the water out or just letting them run sitting still?

Only rode them today from one unit to the other, which was fairly long (glad I didn't have to walk them that far...lol!)

Hope to start getting them out on the road more as the weather improves. It's been very cold, windy, and rainy here so far this month! Also I had a healing broken rib in the fall so that didn't help.

I really did enjoy the short rides today though! :)
