    Looks familiar.

For what? When it feels right, it's right.

I probably end up a bit tighter than what most would think could still feel "free" when done, even with the whole weight of the front end installed. The whole system is gonna seat and loosen a bit as it gets some real miles. As long as it wants to "flop" with the installed front end up in the air I haven't had one problem in decades and dozens of bikes. street and track.

I always referred to those as part of the same thing. I call them "tapered roller bearings". OEM I call ball bearings, or caged ball bearings.

That makes more sense, good call. Well at least I don't need the whole bike apart to tighten that sucker. :) This would explain the super light feeling on the bars. Not enough to wobble, but way lighter than I am used to. I am excited!! Need to pull the beast off the bench...ST..ugg hahahaha

Here's how small my ST got on the bench before it got... well... pretty much everything, including steering head bearngs, and got big again.

And before any comments about hanging calipers and masters... everything got new stainless lines.

That was A LOT of work! And the bodywork makes an RC36 seem super easy.

Small and ST seem mutually exclusive but I get it...

I am dreading trying to find all the correct fasteners after taking it apart nearly two years ago.

    Oooof

I had to do a little forensic investigation on mine due to the last owner. Not bad, but some things were out of place. Luckily I have a large inventory of OEM fasteners and a pretty good feel for how Honda assembles things.
