Your seats just called. They REALLY want you to get get a chunk of cardboard or foam for their thin, vinyl edges.

Ha ha.....hey but on your point....as a surfer, I should know better from how we protect the tail and nose of our boards when we stand them up. Always on a piece of carpet......and many times for short periods.....we'll just use our foot! :)

It is a lot of money but a storage unit serves a purpose so you just have to justify it. It's when you pay and pay and pay and the years go by that you really lose money. Short term - the value of having them is worth it, IMHO.

Not sure how this compares to other areas. Gotta factor in I have two outlets and two overhead light fixtures....and the two doors which is helpful!

For cars if you have the dough, these are sweet. Automatic cut off when it gets too low. https://www.batterymart.com/p-prioritystart-12-volt-promax.html

For bikes, ours specifically, the batteries are so easy to remove i just don't see the advantage to all the faf for long term storage. If you want a kill switch, by all means find one that is vibration proof and high amps, just be weary of any cheapy ones that will leave you stranded, and wire it as such that you can bypass that switch roadside if need be. IMO of course. Could be as easy as putting a spare negative cable under your seat in the tool kit.
