Hello all. New member. First post. I have a 2000 VFR 800 and my local shop says my rear brake master cylinder is soft and they recommend I get a new one (as it might be leaking internally) ... but they cannot source one for me as none of their suppliers can get one. I have searched these posts and online but I have so far come up empty. I have found some part numbers for replacements and repair kits, but none are in stock. So I came looking for help. Does anyone know where I can get anything ? A Honda one, an aftermarket replacement, a rebuild kit, a used one ... other suggestions ??? Thank you. (In case it does not show the location, I'm in Canada).
Dude get a rebuild kit, it's not hard. https://brakecrafters.com/collectio...cts/bc321m-1998-honda-interceptor-800-vfr800f A competent shop should be able to do this....(jeez, I've done it, so any moron can..) (Um...did I just call myself a moron?) If the shop says they can't do it.....run away! Collect the bike and go elsewhere! Cheerz
Thank you mello dude. I had not come across that site yet in all my searches and am looking at it now.
Did you resolve your issue. I'm late to the show but since you are located in Canada, Fortnine have a rebuilt kit available https://fortnine.ca/en/all-balls-master-cylinder-rebuild-kit
