(I may have posted this post in the wrong section previously, apologies’

After 35 years riding & owning bikes, I have finally purchased my first VFR, a white, all original 1991 VFR750 with 14k miles.

I have serviced it, had the valves checked..all good. I removed the exhaust to replace the manifold gaskets, but for the life of me…I cannot find the torque settings for the stud bolts?? I have a workshop manual & can’t even find it in there ‍♂️

If anyone knows I’d be grateful

Awesome bike though, I love it so far.. IMG_2423.png

    Very nice example. Awesome.

There really isn't a torque value because you are crushing a gasket. It's a feel thing.

    Gutenteit.

There is a general torque list in the Service Manual that includes 6mm bolt/nut. But again, it doesn't really apply.

That bike looks great; are you keeping it mostly stock?

Thanks for that, much appreciated.. I have torqued to where I feel comfortable. I started the bike and no leaks, so all good.

Thanks, the plan is to keep it stock…though the bike did come with a high level Delkevic.. so I may fit that and see how it sounds ;)

The bike does have the stand cover… the rear seat cowl and the original long rear mudguard/fender :)

i have the high mount muffler. Love it. not that loud but adds just enough v4 noise. Fit was nice and it dose not get very hot. Looks way better than oem. If you have it already than try it. I will bet you will not go back. I did trim the mud flap quite a bit and removed the passenger pegs as this is now a solo only bike. Welcome and enjoy your new ride....
