    Wow!!!!
I’m wondering if the float bowl gaskets are failing… I know they are new but…

Are they genuine Honda parts ??

No, they are not Honda, but I've used several as well as the old OEM. It's like it's not even getting a chance for the needle and valve to shut off the gas.

It looks like the fuel is coming out the back or inside of the carbs first . I was expecting it to be only seeping at the bowl gasket!

"S" pipe not cracked and new orings?

There is ZERO chance that with the orings you sourced the float bowls could leak like that if properly installed.

    ZERO

I do believe they were properly installed.

Even if the bowl was somehow cracked, it couldn't leak that fast.

Shoot video of the fuel cross over tubes. In the first video, the fuel appears to come around the corner from above the bowl.

    Something big is being overlooked.

These carbs had been run before? Or are they new to you?

I'd swear the fuel tubes don't have orings installed somehow for that amount of fuel.

I agree with you something big is being overlooked. The fuel tubes have new o-rings and I've looked for leakages around them and they looked dry. look at my pics below to see if anything looks wrong.

The orings he sourced sit VERY proud and have a lot of squish.

Without being there in person, this is about as far as I can go in diagnosing. But with a leak that bad, I am leaning towards an assembly error.

Not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but that is a waterfall, not an annoying weep/leak. Something is amiss. And it's not a warped bowl, slightly misadjusted float, bad casting or a suspect float bowl oring.

Carb 3 isn't seated. Probably making the leak from the shared fuel tube[IMG]

Aaaaand my pics don't show. Pic 7817 shows that carb isn't seated into the plenum

I wonder if I should order OEM needle and seat.
I have the top on just to hold them together. In order to remove the float bowl cover I have to loosen the plenum cover.

no, even if the needle is leaking the float bowl should not. a leaky float valve usually drips fuel within the carb throat.

When you reply or start a thread there's a tab that says "Upload a file" . choose your picture and that's it.

I guess these carbs were sitting in the weather too long. I'm about to look for a complete set of carbs. I've spent way too long on these.

I'm on a phone. It used to be able to upload images, but for some reason the app is the issue.

Huh? I haver NEVER had to do that. There is a sequence and a certain move that needs to be done, but loosening the carbs from the plenum is NOT one of them.

Don't care what year carbs, Honda gives you a way without doing that.

Def. agree w/ Capt. on this. No need to loosen plenum. Causes more grief.

When my carbs were serviced, the shop used non-OEM needles & seats as replacements. One of them stopped flowing fuel for some reason. I never could get it to flow. So I replaced all of them w/ the OEM needles & seats and the problem disappeared.

As I don't have any of the stock gauges I ordered a Digital one which will give me all the lights and readouts that the stock ones have. I made a mount out of aluminum plate and installed it. I think it looks pretty good. Speedometer guage installed.jpg
