    Yeah, sorry off topic.
    But to continue…lol
    It was my most proud bike moment at Miller Motorsports in Utah. Started mid pack on my SV650 (Lt Wt Twins) with two other classes. 125GP and 600 stock. 125 similar speed and 600 was faster. I won the 20 sprint race by 45sec and had lapped all but the top 3 in 600. Full wet to drying track. My favorite part was feeling like a MotoGP racer looking for puddles to keep my goooey tires from giving up. Probably wasn’t necessary, but it made me giggle under the visor looking for damp patches.

    over sharing but fond memory.

    That heat shrink does such a great job and can be installed over the fittings of a completed line.

    I wouldn't call it a resurrection, just always a work in progress.

    These were old school lines that are raw braided hose. The heat shrink allows me to add some rub protection on lines that are already swaged, without having to use that split spiral stuff.

    It also won't yellow and stain like some of the other stainless brake lines tend to do. Which I also cover with this stuff. Ive been able to repurpose some really ugly lines that have come on project bikes. And a stock-ish look on some bikes isn't a bad thing either.

    I know....I need to read more here but probably like others only have so much time each day and still not getting everything done I want to!

    Shitty pic while I was moving some bikes around last night. We are trying out some NS400R style mirrors. I'll get some better pics with the mirrors soon.

    They look really good in person to me, but is a little jarring after seeing this bike with original mirrors for so long. Surprisingly, still a decent view behind.

    I bought the bike off of my close friend in the 90's (he was the 2nd owner). He had completely gone thru the bike (we lived together as the time) and he polished the swingarm (which is a BITCH to get the thru the factory clear anodizing). The plates are just painted. These were the days when there weren't many choices in aerosol, and the gold is a little garish on a couple things. The swingarm plates are not terrible. He did a few other items that I have been slowly "adjusting". I swapped in a black rear master cyl and eliminated the splitter on the lower triple when I did the brake lines. The suspension linkage can stay.

    No, not at all.

    Bought off my friend. Rode it. Gave it to my Dad. He rode it. He gave it back for my birthday when he was done riding. Now I am riding it again.

    i had bad luck with NS400R mirrors, but maybe mine were just bad quality. They didn't stick out very far and were really wobbly.
